The main objects of'this invention are to provide a neck tie lform or holder having an improved construction .andarrangement of parts'vonwhich a ready-:made neck tie may be permanently mounted for use with a'turnldown collar; to provide .a neck Atie Yholder having anv improvedform'ofl clip 'for attachment lto the collar'button; an" `to provide improved means *for adjustingthe. clip relative to the otherpart of'the'holder to accommodate the holderto-collars of'various heights and styles.

The member 6 is cemented or sewed to the inner face of the knotted portion 4 of the tie, and the clip 7 'is similarly secured to the front face ofthe inner tieportion 5 so that the holder is invisible wlien in-use. The edges of the tie portion i4 overlap the edges of the supporting member 6, as clearly shown in Fig. 2.

The supporting member 6 is inthe form 4of a thin `plate which is curved transversely kto ysubstantially con-form to the curvature of the col-lar band. A neck tie holder comprising a supporting member adapted for insertion between the folds of a turn-down collar, a rack on said supporting member disposed longitudinally thereof, a clip member adapted for attachment to a collar button and being slidably mounted on said rack so as to be adjustable longitudinally with respect to said supporting member, said clip being normally disposed in substantially parallel spaced rclation to said supporting member, and a detent on said clip arranged to coact With said rack for securing said members against relative .longitudinal shifting While said members occupy their normal positions, said clip being tiltable out of its normal position for disengaging said detent from said rack to permit a relative longitudinal shifting of said members.

A neck tie holder comprising a supporting member adapted for insertion between the folds of a turn-down collar, a rack on said supporting` member disposed longitudinally thereof., a saddle slidably mounted on said rack, a clip member mounted on said saddle and adapted for attachment to a collar button, and a detent on said saddle arranged to coact With said rack for securing said members against relative longitudinal shifting, said saddle being tiltable for disengaging said detent from said rack to permit a relative longitudinal shifting of Said members.

S. A neck tie holder comprising a supporting member adapted for insertion between the folds of a turn-down collar, a rack detachably mounted on said supporting member and disposed longitudinally thereof, a clip member adapted for attachment to a collar button and being slidably mounted on said rack so as to be adjustable longitudinally with respect to said supporting member, and a detent on said clip arranged to coact with said rack for securing said members against relative longitudinal shifting, said clip being tiltable onsaid rack for disengaging` said detent from said rack to permit a relative longitudinal shifting of said members.

A neck tie holder comprising a supporting member adapted for insertion between the folds of a turn-down collar, a rack on said supporting member disposed longitudinally thereof, a clip member adapted for attachment to a collar button and being slidably mounted on said rack so as to be adjustable longitudinally with respect to said supporting member, a detent on said clip arranged to coact With said rack for securing said members against relative longitudinal shifting, and resilient means arranged to normally retain said detent in engagement with said rack, said clip being tiltable on said rack for disengaging said detent from said rack against the action of said resilient means to permit a relative longitudinal shifting of said members.

A neck tie, holder comprising a supporting member adapted for insertion between the folds of a turn-down collar, a rack on said supporting member disposed longitudinally thereof, a saddle slidably and tiltably mounted on said rack, a clip mounted on said saddle and comprising a pair of levers pivotally connected together and having jaws at one end thereof adapted to grip the stem of a collar button, a detent on said saddle arranged to coact ivith said rack for securing said members against relative longitudinal shifting, and resilient means arranged to normally retain said detent in engagement with said rack and to normally urge said levers into position tov close said jaivs, said levers being normally spaced apart at the other end thereof and being manually compressible for opening said aWs, said saddle and clip being tiltable on said rack for disengaging said detent from said rack to permit a relative longitudinal shifting of said clip and supporting member.
