My invention relates to an improvement in reducing corsets, more particularlyto reduc ing corsets designed with particular, reference to reducing the buttocks, the object being to provide a simple, convenient, comfortable and effective adjustable corset for the specific purpose designated.

lVith these ends in View, my invention consists in a reducing corset characterized by being provided with a horizontally-arranged, vertically-adjustable elastic, buttocks-reducing band located upon the'inside of the back of the corset-body, and adapted to have its ends connected therewith in different vertical positions.

My invention further consists in a reducing corset having certain details of construction as will be hereinafter described, and particularly pointed out in the claim.

In carrying out-my invention, as herein shown, I employ a relatively wide, straight, buttocks-reducing band 5 of elastic material, arranged horizontally and provided at its respective ends with bindingestrips 6 of any mounting hooks 7 approved character, adapted to be engaged with eyes 8 in flaps 9 flanking the'non-elastic baek-section 10 of the corsetbody, also comprising, as herein shown, elastic hip-sections 11 and front-sections 12. The front sections 12 of the corset-body are provided with the usual applied boning strips 13 furnishing pockets for bones, and also provided upon its lower edge with hose-supporters 14. The frontsections 12 are furnished with clasps 15 and open-front garment.

Although my invention is shown as applied to a low-down or hip-confining corset,

corresponding studs 16, the corset being an it is not limited thereto, but may be applied to any corset-structure capable of receiving it.

I claim z- As a new article of manufacture, an openfront' closed-back reducing corset having a corset-body comprising a non-elastic backsection, elastic hip-sections having their rear edges respectively connected. with the edges of the back-section, non-elastic front-sections having their rear edges connected with the front edges of the respective elastic hipsections, corset-fastening means for fastening the front edges of the non-elastic frontsections together, whereby the corset is put on and off, two substantially-Ventical flaps applied to the inner faces of the back-section near the respective edges thereof, and a removable horizontally-arranged elastic buttocks-reducing belt imposed upon the inner face of the lower portionsof the said nonelastic back-section of. the corset-body and having its respective ends adjustably connected with the said flaps for its vertical
