IMPROVEMENT IN CIGAR-BOXES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 130,713, dated August 20,1872.
Specification describing certain Improvements in Cigar-Boxes, invented by XVM. B. HALE, Jr., of Milford, in the county of VVorcester and State of Massachusetts.
My invention has relation to the construction of Cigar-Boxes; and consists in constructing such boxes with octagon sides and bottom,
piece, B, as shown. D represents the top or lip proper, hinged at one end to a head-piece, A. These lids C have beveled sides adapted to fit closely under the lid 1), so that when closed the box shall assume a compact form having vertical heads, and very nearly octagon sides, top, and bottom.
The chief, object of my invention is to provide better means than. have heretofore been provided for packing cigars in small bundles.
