To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY D. BoKor, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Defiance, in the county of Defiance and State of -Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful Receptacle; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the characters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
My invention relates to receptacles and particularly to those of the collapsible, compactly folding, liquid carrying type.
The primary object of the invention is the provision of a bucket type of receptacle, which is adapted and particularly intended for use by automobilists in connection with the filling of radiators and gasolene tanks, and whennot in use is capable of being folded in compact form for carrying in a tool box, under a seat, or in any other convenient space.
Further objects and advantages of the in vention will be apparent from the following detailed description thereof. 1
The invention is fully described in the following specification, and while, in its broader aspect, it is capable of embodiment in numerous forms, a preferred embodiment thereof is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which, 1

Referring to the drawings, 1 designates a bodv of a receptacle embodying the inventiori, which body is'in bucket form and composed of canvas, rubber. water proof fabric or other suitable material of a pliant nature. The top or upper end of the body 1' is open and provided with a frame or reinforcing ring from which the pliant body material is suspended.
3 designates a bail which is pivoted to the ring 2 centrally and at opposite sides thereof and is of suitable size and shape to adapt it to be turned down within the ring in the plane thereof.
The body 2 has its bottom provided, preferably adjacent to one edge thereof, with a downwardly projecting sp'out 4, which opens into the interior of the bucket and serves as a discharge spout for the contents of the bucket. This spout is of flexible hose form, and is preferably of such a length that its free end may be raised to near the top of the bucket, so that when raised, as indicated by the dotted line position in Fig. 1, liquid will not be discharged therethrough from the interior of the bucket. A hook 5 is attached to the spout 4 at or near the free end thereof and is adapted to be engaged over the ring 2 or top 1 of the bucket to. retain the spout in the upturned dotted line position shown. The spout 4 which is preferably but not .necessarily composed of the same material as the body part 1 of the bucket or receptacle,
has its inner end enlarged in outward tapermg or gradually dlmmlshmg form, as shown mobilists, as the provision of the flexible spout 4 very materiallyfacilitates a filling of radiators, gasolene tanks and the like without the use of a funnel. The flexible feature of the spout combined with the length thereof also enables it to serve in the capacity of a valve in that a raising of the discharge end of the spout to a point above the level of liquid within the receptacle will prevent a discharge of the liquid contents of the receptacle. The collapsible nature of the receptacle body and spout enables the article to be folded in flat compact form within practically the confines of the ring 2 so 'that the article can be.,packed in a space which is no larger than is necessary for the receiving of the ring 2.

Having thus described my lnvention, what -A bucket ofthe class described comprising atop ring, a bail pivotally attached to 5 said ring and capable of being folded in flat relation to said ring-in the plane thereof,,
a collapsible body part depending from said ring and having a flexible spout extending from the bottom thereof, said spout being 10 of considerable length and having its inner end provided with an enlargement which reduces in size outwardly from said body part, a vsieve member removably disposed within said spout enlargement, and a hook carried by the spout for engagement over the upper edge of the bucket to hold the free end of the spout in elevated relation to the bucket.
