Abstract
A method for predicting fracture nonunion which comprises X-ray investigation and determining in a month after fracture in blood serum of levels of transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-)(1, the C-terminal propeptide of collagen of type I (CICP) and pyridinoline. At the levels of those <14 ng / ml, <64 ng / ml and > 8 ng / ml , respectively, fracture nonunion is predicted.
