A method of prediction of fracture nonunion includes clinical examination, radiography, determination in blood serum of homocysteine and glycosaminoglycans. Fracture nonunion is predicted if a level of homocysteine > 20 micromole/l and a level of glycosaminoglycans > 50 micromole/l.
