Abstract
The invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy. A method for obtaining alloys based on titanium comprises the loading of powder charge in arc electric furnace in process of melting, basic components of charge is aluminium, oxides of titanium and calcium, tapping of melting products from furnace with obtaining of titanium alloy, at that the relation of rate of charge loading (ν, kg/minute) to specific output (q, МVА/m), which suit to unit area of furnace bottom, maintain within the ranges: ν/q=0.3-12.5, at that from melting products from furnace is tapped only slag, and alloy leaved in the furnace. The invention allows obtaining lump of titanium in alloy and increasing of efficiency of melting process.
