Abstract
The invention relates to metallurgy, especially to ferroalloy production of high-titanium (55-60 %) ferrotitanium, by electrofurnace reducing melting from concentrate of ilmenite. A method comprises double-stage process, running-off slag and ferroalloy, at that at the first stage, prepared ore charge, which contains concentrate of ilmenite, limestone and reducing agent, load into the furnace, melted with forming titanium-containing slag andand which contains titanium oxide andwhich is formed, is poured out on the second stage reducing agent as aluminium is introduced. An the first stage of melting as a reducing agent of part of iron oxides of ilmenite concentrate coke is added, at the second stage is carried out by the mixing of slag by repeated pouring into the pre-heated to 300-400 °С receiving reservoir with fractured aluminium and further pre-heated of slag the electric power.
