Dicha proteina tiene actividad de inhibicion contra insectos del orden Lepidoptera tales como Anticarsia gemmatalis, Diatraea saccharalis, entre otras. Tambien se refiere a una composicion y una planta, parte de planta o celula vegetal transgenica que comprende dicha proteina
