SE REFIERE A UNA CELDA DE ELECTROLISIS AUTOGENERADA QUE COMPRENDE i) UN COMPARTIMENTO CATODICO, ii) UN COMPARTIMENTO ANODICO, iii) UNA MEMBRANA DE INTERCAMBIO IONICO SEPARANDO ESTOS DOS COMPARTIMENTOS, iv) UN ANODO DE COBRE Y UN CATODO DE TITANIO, CONECTADOS EN CORTO CIRCUITO, v) UN CATOLITO CONSISTENTE EN LA SOLUCION RESULTANTE DE LA LIXIVIACION, Y vi) EL ANOLITO ES LA SOLUCION DESPOJADA DE PLATA EN EL COMPARTIMENTO CATODICO. TAMBIEN SE REFIERE A UN PROCESO DE ELECTRORECUPERACION DE PLATA A PARTIR DE SOLUCIONES LIXIVIANTES DE TIOSULFATO QUE COMPRENDE: A) ALIMENTAR EL COMPARTIMENTO CATODICO CON LA SOLUCION PROCEDENTE DE LA ETAPA DE LIXIVIACION; B) ALIMENTAR EL COMPARTIMENTO ANODICO CON UNA SOLUCION SINTETICA SIMILAR AL CATOLITO PERO LIBRE DE PLATA; C) RECUPERAR EL DEPOSITO DE PLATA POR MEDIOS MECANICOS; EN DONDE DESPUES DE UN TIEMPO PREDETERMINADO EL ANOLITO ES EL CATOLITO DESPUES DE HABER SIDO DESPOJADO DE LA PLATA Y EL BANO LIXIVIANTE ES EL ANOLITO DESPUES DE HABER SIDO ENRIQUECIDO CON EL COBRE
