Claims (24)
- 셧다운 기능을 갖고, 다공성 무기 비전도성 피복물을 캐리어 위에 및 캐리어 속에 갖는 다공성 캐리어를 포함하는 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터에 있어서,평균 입자 크기 범위가 0.5 내지 10㎛인 원소 Al, Si 및/또는 Zr의 산화 입자를 포함하는 무기 피복물이, 소정 온도에서 용융되어 무기 층의 기공을 폐쇄하는 재료로 이루어진 다공성 셧다운 층을 지지하고,셧다운 층이 다공성 시트상 구조물로 형성되고,캐리어가 직포 또는 부직포 중합체 섬유 또는 유리 섬유를 포함함을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제1항에 있어서, 셧다운 층이 직포, 부직포, 펠트, 편물 또는 다공성 필름으로 형성됨을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 캐리어가 가요성이고 캐리어 두께가 50㎛ 미만임을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제3항에 있어서, 캐리어가 중합체성 부직포임을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 캐리어의 중합체 섬유가 폴리아크릴로니트릴, 폴리에스테르 및/또는 폴리아미드 섬유로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층의 두께가 1 내지 20㎛, 바람직하게는 5 내지 10㎛임을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층이 중합체, 중합체 블렌드, 천연 왁스 또는 합성 왁스 및 이들의 혼합물로부터 선택된 재료로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제1항 내지 제7항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층이, 융점이 130℃ 미만인 재료로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 제1항 내지 제8항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층 재료와 캐리어 재료 적어도 일부가 동일함을 특징으로 하는, 리튬 배터리 세퍼레이터.
- 세퍼레이터의 다공성 무기 층을, 캐리어 재료의 융점 이하 무기 층의 융점 미만의 소정의 목적하는 융점을 갖는 재료로 이루어진 다공성 층(셧다운 층)으로서 다공성 시트상 구조물에 적용하여 고정시킴을 특징으로 하는, 셧다운 기능을 갖는 세퍼레이터의 제조방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 제1항 내지 제9항 중의 어느 한 항에 따르는 세퍼레이터를 제조하는 방법.
- 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 다공성 무기 층이, 셧다운 층을 적용하기 전에, 소수성화되는 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제12항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 다공성 무기 층이, 셧다운 층을 적용하기 전에, 접착 촉진제로 처리되는 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서, 다공성 무기 층이, 셧다운 층을 이후에 적용하기 위한 실란 접착 촉진제를 포함하는 중합체성 졸을 사용함으로써 제조되는 방법.
- 제13항 또는 제14항에 있어서, 접착 촉진제가 가수분해되거나 가수분해되지 않은 관능화 알킬트리알콕시실란으로부터 선택되는 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제15항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층이, 직포, 편물, 펠트, 부직포 또는 다공성 필름을 다공성 무기 층에 적용함으로써 생성되는 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제16항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 다공성 무기 층에 적용된 셧다운 층이 50℃ 이상의 온도로 1회 가열된 다음, 셧다운 층 재료의 융점 미만으로 가열되어, 셧다운 층이 접착 촉진제를 통해 세퍼레이터에 접착되는 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제16항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층 재료를 유리전이온도 이상의 온도로 1회 가열에 의해 실제 형상의 변화 없이 초기에 용융시킴으로써, 다공성 무기 층에 적용된 셧다운 층이 고정되는 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제17항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층이 적층화에 의해 다공성 무기 층에 적용되는 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제16항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층이 다공성 무기 층에 적용되고, 배터리의 제조 동안 코일 권취 상태로 포획됨으로써 고정되는 방법.
- 제10항 내지 제20항 중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 셧다운 층 재료가, 융점이 180℃ 미만인 중합체, 중합체 블렌드, 천연 및/또는 합성 왁스로부터 선택되는 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서, 사용된 셧다운 재료가 폴리에틸렌(왁스)인 방법.
- 리튬 배터리에서의 세퍼레이터로서의 제1항 내지 제9항 중의 어느 한 항에 따르는 세퍼레이터의 용도.
- 제1항 내지 제9항 중의 어느 한 항에 따르는 세퍼레이터를 포함하는 배터리.
