Claims (43)
- 시스템에 있어서,
전원(power source)에 그리고 기화기 분무기(vaporizer atomizer)의 가열 엘리먼트에 전기적으로 커플링되도록 구성되는 컨버터 - 상기 컨버터는 상기 전원으로부터 제1 전압을 수신하도록 그리고 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 제2 전압을 제공하도록 또한 구성되고, 상기 컨버터는 직류 대 직류 컨버터임 - ; 및
상기 가열 엘리먼트에 전기적으로 커플링되도록, 상기 가열 엘리먼트를 통과하는 전류를 측정하도록, 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 걸친 전압을 측정하도록, 전력 및 저항 중 적어도 하나를 계산하도록, 그리고 상기 컨버터에 제어 신호를 출력하도록 구성되는 전력 모니터를 포함하며, 상기 전력 모니터는 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 걸친 전압을 측정하기 위한 3 와이어 연결 또는 4 와이어 연결을 포함하고,
상기 컨버터는 상기 제2 전압을 변경하여 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 걸친 목표 전력 또는 목표 온도를 유지하기 위해 상기 제어 신호에 의해 제어되도록 또한 구성되는, 시스템. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 컨버터는 승압(step-up) 컨버터 및 강압(step-down) 컨버터 중 적어도 하나의 컨버터를 포함하며, 상기 컨버터는 에너지 저장 디바이스를 포함하는, 시스템. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 에너지 저장 디바이스는 스위치식 커패시터 토폴로지(switched-capacitors topology) 또는 전하 펌프 토폴로지(charge-pump topology)의 커패시터를 포함하는, 시스템. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 에너지 저장 디바이스는 인덕터를 포함하는, 시스템. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전력 모니터는 폐루프 제어를 형성하는 아날로그 회로부(circuitry)를 포함하는, 시스템. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전력 모니터는:
상기 가열 엘리먼트를 통과하는 전류 및 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 걸친 전압을 측정하도록 구성되는 아날로그 프론트 엔드 회로부; 및
상기 가열 엘리먼트를 통과하는 상기 측정된 전류 및 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 걸친 상기 측정된 전압에 기초하여 상기 제어 신호를 제공하도록 구성되는 회로부를 포함하는 디지타이저를 포함하는, 시스템. - 제6항에 있어서,
상기 디지타이저는 펄스 폭 변조된 신호, 디지털 대 아날로그 변환된 신호, 또는 인터-인터그레이티드 회로 포맷의 신호(inter-integrated circuit formatted signal)로서 상기 제어 신호를 제공하도록 구성되는, 시스템. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 전력 모니터는 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 대한 전력을 중단하지 않으면서 상기 전류 및 상기 전압을 연속적으로 측정하는, 시스템. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
마이크로컨트롤러; 및
상기 컨버터와 상기 가열 엘리먼트 사이의 스위치를 더 포함하며, 상기 스위치는 상기 마이크로컨트롤러에 전기적으로 커플링되고, 상기 마이크로컨트롤러는 펄스 폭 변조된 신호를 상기 스위치의 게이트에 인가하도록 구성되는, 시스템. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 컨버터는 제1 전력 레벨에서 동작하도록 구성되며, 상기 마이크로컨트롤러는, 상기 가열 엘리먼트를 통과하는 상기 측정된 전류 및 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 걸친 상기 측정된 전압에 기초하여, 제2 전력 레벨을 결정하도록 그리고 상기 스위치를 제어하여 상기 제2 전압을 수정하기 위해 상기 펄스 폭 변조 신호를 수정하도록 구성되는, 시스템. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 컨버터는 가열 사이클 동안 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 중단되지 않는 전력을 제공하도록 구성되는, 시스템. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 전력 모니터는, 상기 측정된 전류의 변동에 기초하여, 상기 컨버터와 상기 가열 엘리먼트 사이의 콘택의 콘택 저항의 변동을 결정하도록 구성되는, 시스템. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 가열 엘리먼트에 커플링되도록 구성되는 전류 소스를 더 포함하며, 상기 전류 소스는 전류 소스 저항기 및 전류 소스 스위치를 포함하는, 시스템. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
범용 직렬 버스 전력 레일을 포함하는 범용 직렬 버스 포트를 더 포함하며, 상기 컨버터는 상기 범용 직렬 버스 전력 레일에 제3 전압을 출력하도록 구성되는, 시스템. - 제1항 내지 제7항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 전원에 그리고 상기 기화기 분무기의 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 전기적으로 커플링되도록 구성되는 펄스 폭 변조 제어 회로를 더 포함하며, 상기 펄스 폭 변조 제어 회로는 또한 PWM 전력을 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 선택적으로 제공하도록 구성되는, 시스템. - 방법에 있어서,
전력 모니터를 통해, 기화기 분무기의 가열 엘리먼트를 통과하는 전류를 측정하는 단계 - 상기 전류는, 전원에 그리고 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 전기적으로 커플링되도록 구성되는 컨버터에 의해 공급되고, 상기 컨버터는 상기 전원으로부터 제1 전압을 수신하도록 그리고 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 제2 전압을 제공하도록 또한 구성되고, 상기 컨버터는 직류 대 직류 컨버터이고, 상기 전력 모니터는 상기 가열 엘리먼트에 전기적으로 커플링되도록 구성됨 -;
