Abstract

Claims (7)
- 코발트 함유 재료로부터 코발트를 회수하는 방법으로서,
- 전로(converter furnace)를 제공하는 단계;
- 슬래그 포머와, 구리 매트, 구리-니켈 매트, 및 불순 합금 중 1종 이상을 상기 전로에 장입하고, 산화 가스를 주입하여 장입물을 산화 조건에서 제련해서, 코발트 함유 슬래그 및 조금속 상을 포함하는 용융욕을 얻는 단계; 및
- 코발트 함유 슬래그로부터 조금속 상을 분리하는 단계
를 포함하며,
상기 코발트 함유 재료는 이차 전지, 폐전지, 또는 이들의 스크랩을 포함하며, 상기 코발트 함유 재료를 전로에 장입하는 것이고, 상기 코발트 함유 슬래그는 6 중량% 이상의 알루미나를 함유하고, 상기 코발트 함유 슬래그 중 코발트의 양이 2 중량% 내지 20 중량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 코발트 함유 재료로부터 코발트를 회수하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 산화 가스의 양을 조절함으로써, 코발트 함유 재료에 존재하는 코발트의 90 중량% 초과가 코발트 함유 슬래그로 회수되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 코발트 함유 재료로부터 코발트를 회수하는 방법.
