Description
本出願は、2006年5月9日に提出された米国仮出願第60/799,102号(尚、この開示内容は、参照によりその全文を本明細書に組み込むものとする)に対する優先権を主張する。
本発明の実施形態の生体部材は、一般に、本明細書に記載する有利な性質を備えるどんな生体材料(例えば、全組織又は組織由来の材料)でもよい。特に有用な生体部材は、無細胞組織マトリックスなどのバイオマトリックスである。
本発明の実施形態の非生体部材は、一般に、生体適合性人工材料、例えば、生体吸収性ポリマー、非生体吸収性ポリマー、及び金属合金又は組成物などから構成することができる。様々な実施形態は、完了した標的組織再生が、実質的量及び/又は耐荷重量の非生体部材を含まないように、生体適合性及び生体吸収性の非生体部材を含むことができる。生体吸収性ポリマーを用いることにより、天然組織が生体部材のマトリックス構造全体にわたって再生するため、非生体部材(例えば、ポリマー)から生体部材への荷重容量の伝達が可能になる。
すべての組織移植片は、移植後1ヶ月以内に機械的特性がある程度低下する。機械的性能特性として、限定するものではないが、荷重性能、弾性、及び剛性などを挙げることができる。機械的性能特性のいくつか又は全ては、一般に、移植後1〜2年かけて回復していく。
バイオマトリックスを含む第1生体部材を有する、ACL置換に適したハイブリッド複合組織移植片を作製した。バイオマトリックスは、本明細書に記載する無細胞組織マトリックスと一致する無細胞組織マトリックスを含んだ。バイオマトリックスは、一枚の材料シートとして用意した。

Claims (19)
- バイオマトリックスを有する第1の生体部材と、
第2の非生体部材と
を含む複合材料を含む、移植可能な医療デバイス。 - 第1部材が、複合材料の組成物の少なくとも一部で第2部材を覆っている、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 第1部材が、複合材料の実質的に全てで第2部材を覆っている、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- バイオマトリックスが無細胞組織マトリックスを含む、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- バイオマトリックスが粒子状無細胞組織マトリックスを含む、請求項4に記載の医療デバイス。
- 第2部材は、移植の時点で第1部材より高い荷重容量を有する、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 第1部材は、移植後及びバイオマトリックス内での天然細胞の増殖後、第2部材より高い荷重容量を有する、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 第2部材が生体吸収性ポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 第2部材が生体適合性金属を含む、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 第2部材が、ポリヒドロキシブチレート、ポリ乳酸、ポリラクチドグリコリド酸、ポリジオキサノン、又はポリカプロラクトンを含む、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
- 第2部材が連続的材料である、請求項1に記載の医療デバイス。
