A distributer for powdered or granular material particularly pelleted fertilizers includes a flap 63 which is held in yieldable engagement with a movable conveyer belt 36 which receives material from a hopper 40 which is tiltable so as to control the amount of material which is carried forward by the conveyer. The flap may be made of rubber as shown or of metal or plastics material. Specifications 887,627 and 987,212 are referred to.
