Abstract

969,386. Fertiliser spreaders. F. H. WALLER, and M. FAULDS May 24, 1963 [May 26, 1962], No. 20321/62. Heading A1D. A spreader for fertilizers comprising a hopper from which material is fed by an endless conveyer belt into a funnel member 3 which divides the flow of fertilizer into two streams which fall on to rotatable splines 4 which project the material along ducts 6. The lower parts of the ducts 6 are open so that the material falls freely to the ground and to prevent the material being blown away by wind a canvas curtain-like arrangement is suspended from the ducts and comprises first and rear members 8a, 8b joined by a member of equally spaced gussets 9.
