A fertilizer distributer comprises a hopper 3 with walls that converge downwardly and a discharge outlet 5 in one wall and a helicoidal member 14 arranged parallel to that wall to feed material through the outlet 5 to a centrifugal distributer 10. The member 4 and distributer 10 are driven from the tractor power shaft. A damper 6 which is operated by a link rod 7 is used to adjust the size of the outlet 5.
