876,775. Powder distributers. TOPP'S PATENTS Ltd. Dec. 30, 1957, No. 40333/57. Class 6(1). A spinner for use in distributing granular materials comprises a receiving plate 2 forming part of a scattering disc 1 provided with vanes 18. Material is fed from a hopper to the receiving plate 2 and a dividing wall is provided comprising a fixed portion 6 and an adjustable portion 9 one part of which is formed with an upper sloping portion 17 over which the material spills to the scattering disc. The portion 6 of the wall is provided with a cover 10 provided with a downwardly directed flange 24. The vanes 18 are attached to struts 19, 20 to which is attached an upper plate 21 arranged to cover horizontal upper edges 22 of the vanes. Each vane is formed with a concave front face 23 along which the material travels as the disc 1 is rotated. The adjustable portion 9 of the dividing wall may be rotatably adjustable and may be vertically adjusted so that material may flow under the portion 9 to the scattering disc.
