Abstract
203,946. Heenan, J. N. D. Oct. 31, 1922. Separators.-Apparatus for separating moisture from air and gases and particularly from compressed air comprises a chamber divided into upper and lower compartments and having an air inlet 3 and an outlet 4 and tiers of spaced baffles 6 between which the air passes. The moisture deposited on the baffles runs into connected troughs 9 the lower of which communicates with the lower compartment. The area of flow between the baffles is made greater than that of the inlet so as to increase the pressure and reduce the velocity of flow through the chamber.
