Abstract

127,977. Cleworth, A. B. June 10, 1918. Scrubbers.-Air or gas driven through a chamber A by a fan C passes through a wetted screen B made of a number of sheets of expanded metal. The screen is stationary and the liquid is supplied by a tank with outlet orifices in the bottom, or is sprayed. Metal shavings may be placed between or upon the sheets to ensure a more even distribution of the liquid. The screen may be arranged horizontally. Specification 115,521 is referred to.
