536,116. Treating air and gases with liquids. REAVELL, J. A. Jan. 15, 1940, No. 848. [Class 55 (ii)] In an air or gas washing device a fan c draws air through an inlet e over the surface of a liquid b some of which is entrained with the air, and drawn upwardly through a Venturilike duct d, the washed air passing to an outlet f. The upper part of the vessel a may be divided from the lower part by a partition g which is perforated to let the liquid drain back into the lower part. The lower end of the duct d may be serrated as shown.
