1336733 Shoots, endless conveyers DEUTSCHE BABCOCK & WILCOCK AG 27 Nov 1970 [28 Nov 1969] 56416/70 Headings B8A and B8S A shoot for transferring material or bags of material between endless conveyers 3, 4 comprises an upper fixed portion 5 and a lower portion 6 rotatable about an axis 14 on a bearing 13 and having an elliptical outlet whose major axis is horizontal and whose central axis is inclined between 30-50 degrees to the horizontal. The latter inclination is variable by a threaded adjuster 18. The conveyer 3 has at its discharge end a counterbalanced pivoted plate 11 to guide the bags of material into the shoot and an adjustable forced plate 9 to control the throw of materials from the belt. The conveyer 4 is pivotable about vertical and horizontal axis and is preferably connected to the lower portion 6 for rotation about a vertical axis. the elliptical shape of the outlet of the shoot serving to orientate the bags of material for delivery to the conveyer 4.
