Abstract
La présente invention a pour objet un réacteur électrochimique destiné à permettre la réduction du fer ferrique contenu dans la liqueur d'attaque de l'ilménite. Le réacteur selon l'invention comprend au moins un compartiment cathodique 13 muni d'une cathode constituée par un lit non tassé de particules conductrices, ledit lit étant destiné à être traversé par la liqueur d'attaque; au moins un compartiment anodique 12 destiné à contenir une solution à base d'acide sulfurique, muni d'une anode massive; et un diaphragme isolant et microporeux 11 séparant lesdits compartiments cathodique et anodique 13 et 12. Ce réacteur est destiné à être incorporé dans une installation pour la production de bioxyde de titane par voie sulfate à partir de l'ilménite.
