”alkenyyli” tarkoittaa lineaarista yksiarvoista hiilivetyradikaalia, jossa on kahdesta kuuteen hiiliatomia, tai haarautunutta yksiarvoista hiilivetyradikaalia, jossa on kolmesta kuuteen hiiliatomia, jossa on kaksoissidos;
”alkoksi” tarkoittaa -OR-radikaalia, jossa R on alkyyli;
”alkoksialkyyli” tarkoittaa lineaarista yksiarvoista hiilivetyradikaalia, jossa on yhdestä kuuteen hiiliatomia, tai haarautunutta yksiarvoista hiilivetyradikaalia, jossa on kolmesta kuuteen hiiliatomia, joka on substituoitu vähintään yhdellä alkoksiryhmällä; ”alkoksikarbonyyli” tarkoittaa -C(O)OR-radikaalia, jossa R on alkyyli;

jossa on kolmesta kuuteen hiiliatomia, joka on valinnaisesti substituoitu yhdellä tai kahdella substituentilla, jotka on valittu toisistaan riippumatta alkyylin, halogeenin, alkoksin, hydroksin ja syanon joukosta;
”dialkyyliamino? tarkoittaa -NRR'-radikaalia, jossa R ja R' ovat alkyyli;
