Abstract

LA PRESENTE INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA PRODUCCION CONTINUA O EN GRUPO EN UNO O POSIBLEMENTE MAS PASOS EN UNO O MAS HORNOS DE METAL DE SILICEO (SI), POSIBLEMENTE SILUMINA (ALEACIONES DE ALSI) Y/O METAL DE ALUMINIO (AL) EN LAS CONDICIONES REQUERIDAS EN UN BAÑO DE FUSION, PREFERIBLEMENTE UTILIZANDO FELDESPATO O ROCAS QUE CONTENGAN FELDESPATO DISUELTAS EN UN FLUORURO Y EQUIPO DE PROCESO PARA IMPLEMENTAR EL PROCEDIMIENTO. SE PRODUCE SILICEO ALTAMENTE PURO MEDIANTE ELECTROLISIS (PASO I) EN UN PRIMER HORNO QUE COMPRENDE UN ANODO DE CARBONO SUSTITUIBLE (3) UBICADO EN EL FONDO DEL HORNO Y UN CATODO DE CARBONO (1) UBICADO EN LA PARTE SUPERIOR DEL HORNO. PARA LA PRODUCCION DE SILUMINA EL ELECTROLITO RESIDUAL POBRE EN SI DEL PASO I ES TRANSFERIDO A UN SEGUNDO HORNO Y SE AÑADE METAL DE ALUMINIO (PASO II). SE PRODUCE METAL DE ALUMINIO EN UN TERCER HORNO (PASO III) MEDIANTE ELECTROLISIS DESPUES DE HABER ELIMINADO SI EN EL PASO I Y POSIBLEMENTE EN EL PASO II.
