LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE LIXIVIACION DE UN CONCENTRADO DE ZINC EN CONDICIONES ATMOSFERICAS, EN PRESENCIA DE HIERRO TRIVALENTE. ES FUNDAMENTAL QUE EL CONCENTRADO DE ZINC SE ALIMENTE EN CONDICIONES EN LAS QUE ADEMAS DE HIERRO TRIVALENTE, HAYA NUCLEOS DE JAROSITA. EL CONTENIDO DE ACIDO SULFURICO DE LA FASE DE LIXIVIACION SE MANTIENE EN LA REGION DE 10-40 G/L, Y LA TEMPERATURA SE MANTIENE EN LA REGION COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 80 C Y EL PUNTO DE EBULLICION DE LA SOLUCION. EN LA FASE DE LIXIVIACION SE SUMINISTRA OXIGENO, DE FORMA QUE SE DISUELVE EL CONCENTRADO DE ZINC Y EL HIERRO PRECIPITA EN FORMA DE JAROSITA.
