Abstract

Absorbent stretch fabric has some weft and/or warp yarns of elastic material. The fabric, made from interwoven weft (3) and warp (1, 2) yarns, with at least some of the latter being looped, has at least one weft and/or at least one warp yarn made from an elastic material. The other yarns parallel to the elastic yarns are made so that when the elastic yarns are at rest the other yarns are twisted, allowing the article to be stretched in the direction of the elastic yarns by a given amount. The ratio and direction of the elastic yarns depends on the required elasticity and direction of stretch, and can be between 10 and 90% in either or both directions and e.g. 33%. The looped yarns are of a non-elastic material, and can be cut to give a plush effect.

Description

The present invention relates to an article textiles in the field of bathroom linen consisting of terry-type terry cloth.

It is classic in the field of linen toilet to use terry-type terry cloth, consisting in particular of an interlacing of weft threads, bottom chain and loop chain son or loops, the threads being a suitable material for the towel. Classic items made on the basis of a terry cloth like this include bath towels, bathrobes, washcloths, etc. The such prior art bathroom linens exhibit the next downside. When you get out of the bath or shower or pool etc., and you want to dress bathroom linen by tying it around the body, either by making a knot with the towel or by making a simple knot on the waist of the bathrobe, these nodes always tend to loosen when the person carrying the bathroom linen moves. She is therefore obliged to have a free hand to hold for example towel or bathrobe closed around the body, which prevents him from using it for other activities, for example example to wear something.

From US-A-3550226, a tissue type is known sponge comprising weft threads and warp threads, some of the weft threads being elastic and others not, loops being formed by the weft yarns not elastic. When the fabric is stretched in the weft direction, curls disappear, which affects properties fabric sponge.

The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages of offering an article of bathroom linen terry woven, including a bath towel, which can be simply tie around the body or head without the knot coming undone when we start walk, so you can keep both hands free for other activities, without the towel falling.

According to the invention, the article of linen thread-woven toilet made of suitable material for the sponge is as defined in claim 1.

Thus, by providing elastic threads on the one hand and on the other hand, non-elastic threads which are released and may be strained to accept a certain stretching elastic threads, we give elasticity to the article of bathroom linen, which allows more easily tie it and, by a return effect and of elasticity on the knot when it is made maintains this last tight even when the person is walking, which yet creates efforts on the knot going against of its tightening.

Furthermore, the inventive toilet article is softer and more pleasant to the touch than art prior.

By elastic material is meant materials who after being stretched over at least 160% of their initial length lose at least 25% and preferably at least 50% of their elongation when the force stretching stops.

Des matériaux appropriés élastiques de ce genre sont par exemple de l'élasthane, du lycra, des copolymères séquencés tels que le poly(éthylène-butène), le poly(éthylène-hexène), le poly(éthylène-propylène), le poly(éthylène-octène), le poly(styrène-butadiène-styrène), le poly(styrène-éthylène et butylène-styrène) le poly(styrène-isoprène-styrène), le poly(styrène-éthylène-butylène-styrène), un poly(ester-éthéroxyde), un poly(éthéroxyde-amide), le poly(éthylène-acétate de vinyle), le poly(éthylène-acrylate de méthyle), le poly(éthylène-acide acrylique), le poly(éthylène-acrylate de butyle) et leurs mélanges, ainsi que des copolymères tétraséquencés tels que par exemple un styrène (polyéthylène-propylène)-styrène-poly(éthylène-propylène). Suitable elastic materials of this kind are for example elasthane, lycra, copolymers block such as poly (ethylene-butene), poly (ethylene-hexene), poly (ethylene-propylene), poly (ethylene-octene), poly (styrene-butadiene-styrene), poly (styrene-ethylene and butylene-styrene) poly (styrene-isoprene-styrene), poly (styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene), a poly (ester-etheroxide), a poly (etheroxide-amide), poly (ethylene-vinyl acetate), poly (ethylene-methyl acrylate), poly (ethylene-acid acrylic), poly (ethylene butyl acrylate) and mixtures thereof, as well as tetra-sequenced copolymers such as for example a styrene (polyethylene-propylene) -styrene-poly (ethylene-propylene).

According to an improvement of the invention, weft threads are made of elastic material if the extensibility of the article is sought in the weft direction, and threads bottom chain are made of elastic material if the extensibility of the article is sought in the direction bottom chain, and / or weft threads and bottom chain are made of elastic material if the extensibility is sought in both directions.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the elastic material is spandex or gum. We thus obtain a bathroom linen having a excellent ability to undergo extension as well as very good qualities in terms of hydrophilicity, solidity at household washing, sweat fastness, fastness dry and wet friction, dynamometric resistance and flexibility in hand and outfits.

Suivant un mode de réalisation préféré, de 10 à 80 ou 90 % des fils de trame sont en matériau élastique, notamment 25 à 75 %, par exemple 33 % (1 sur 3).According to a preferred embodiment, from 10 to 80 where 90% of the weft threads are made of elastic material, in particular 25 to 75%, for example 33% (1 in 3).

According to a preferred embodiment, from 10 to 80 where 90% of the bottom chain wires are made of material elastic, preferably between 25 and 75%, for example 33% (1 of 3).

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the loop threads are all made of non-material elastic.

The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a bathroom linen article such as as previously described.

Enfin la présente invention se rapporte également à une utilisation suivant la revendication 10.Finally, the present invention also relates for use according to claim 10.

Figure 2 schematically represents a loom weaving for weaving a bathroom linen article according to the invention. It is a classic job. Of them beams 11 and 12 respectively supply the device in ground wire 1 and loop wire 2. The quantity of material for weaving a different sponge-like item between the bottom wires and the loop wires. this is more commonly known as embuvage.

All the bottom and loop chain wires is ordered (raised or lowered) by group in the case of a dobby weaving on the order of 200 to 600 threads and individually (or by group) in the case of a fabric jacquard. The threads of the chains are introduced into the eyelets of the meshes, themselves integral with the healds and battens 14 in the case of a dobby or integral weaving arcades operated by hooks in the case of a jacquard weaving.

The action of raising or lowering, by group, the battens or hooks cause crowd formation 16 into which the weft thread 3 is inserted. The opening of the crowd 16 is done while maintaining a tension constant for all wires 1, 2 of the bottom and loops. Weft thread 3 is distributed by a donor who calls the wire, stores it on a drum and distributes it to the time at the frame vector. The donor is no longer named commonly a pre-deliverer and its usefulness lies in the fact that it facilitates the scrolling with great speed while maintaining a regularity of tension in exit.

The loop is formed preferably as follows, knowing that other ways to do of course remain applicable to this invention.

Between two weft thread inserts 3 consecutive, a comb 17, through the leaf 18 acts on the two weft threads by positioning them at a certain distance from the facade 19 of the fabric. Then at third weft thread inserted, comb 17 brings the set of three weft threads against the facade 19 for thus form the loop and therefore the desired fabric 10. As non-limiting example, shown in FIG. 3a, the wires bottom chain and loop 1 and 2 intertwine as well with the weft threads 3.

Figure 3b specifies the armor used for get the interlacing of figure 3a and in figure 4 we can see the profile resulting from the previous figures. A loop 21 is visible from the right, while loop 22 is visible on the reverse. The progress of the comb is indicated by arrow 25. As seen in Figure 4, during the operation, the bottom chain wires 1 are braked in being very tight (see Figure 4 wire 1 to the part left of the drawing). This promotes the sliding of the loop. This process of weaving weft yarn and combing loop is well known in the art.

According to the invention, we will also insert yarns of an elastic material, for example a yarn comprising spandex or gum.

In Figure 5a, we have the case where an effect of extensibility was sought in the weft direction. We have inserted 4 elastic threads during the sponge cycle. In function of elasticity and remanence desired for the article of bathroom linen, the proportion of elastic threads 4 inserted. At least we will insert a wire per sponge cycle and at most all the weft threads will be elastic threads, in which case, we will simply take the device shown in Figure 2 and we will feed only in elastic weft threads.

Figure 5b specifies the armor used for obtain the interlacing shown in Figure 5a, in which one inserts an elastic thread every three threads i.e. that there are two non-elastic threads for one thread elastic.

At the ends of the article of bathroom linen, especially at the ends where the final hem is made (called flat transverse part) it is preferable for maintain a good balance to perform an insertion on two weft threads, i.e. to have one weft thread elastic for a non-elastic weft thread. For this flat transverse hem part, specific weave shown in Figure 7 is particularly recommended. AT know, we insert a non-elastic weft thread 3 for a elastic 4 weft thread with the bottom chain threads and loop 1 and 2.

Similarly, to improve the visual appearance of the product, we can use this same armor for the parts longitudinal plates, commonly called selvedges and which frame the product. In general, the amount of yarn selvedge is modified according to the terry woven article stretch to support the feasibility of hemming confection. However, in the case of a terry woven article made-up stretch, i.e. a product obtained by following a cut in a fabric followed by a seam fancy, the parameter "edge size" is reduced to strictly necessary. In addition, an effect can be expected. "velvet" that is to say that we shave the head of the loops according to a known method. We can get the woven item shaved sponge and stretch in the weft direction and / or in the chains, that is to say with a velvet effect on the spot and / or upside down.

We can see the loop visible on place, 21, the visible loop on reverse, 22, the positioning of the bottom warp threads, insertion of weft threads elastic and non-elastic and the advancement of the comb (arrow 25).

On pourrait envisager 100 %. We now describe another embodiment of the invention in which the extensible effect is sought in chain direction, that is to say parallel to the chain of background. We will therefore integrate one or more wires in material elastic such as elastane or rubber threads or containing elastane or gum, in the composition of the beam 11 of the bottom thread chain. In however, the loop chain wires are not concerned. Indeed, given the fact that the loops are woven by being released onto the fabric, they can already, without being made of elastic material, carry out a race not negligible allowing the extensibility according to their direction. The elasticity is therefore modulated at the level of the sponge woven article support. So depending on the desired elasticity and remanence, a certain proportion of the elasthane yarns in the yarns of background chain. In general, this proportion will be understood between 10 and 80 to 90%. We could consider 100%. However, for cost reasons, it is best to limit to lesser proportions. Preferably, proportions of elastic thread are between 25 and 70%, for example between 30 and 50%.

La figure 8b précise l'armure utilisée pour obtenir l'entrelacement de la figure 8a.As seen in Figure 8a the son of chain bottom or loop 1 and 2 intertwine with the wires weft 3 non-elastic. The bottom chain wires are made of non-elastic wires 1 and wires 1 ' elastic, the loop chain 2 wires being non elastic. Figure 8b specifies the armor used for obtain the interlacing of figure 8a.

Figures 9a and 9b show a mode of embodiment in which the two modes of achievements described above namely that we want obtain an article which can be stretched both in the weft direction and in the chain direction. So the bottom chain wires and loop intertwine with 3 weft yarns no elastic and 3 'elastic weft threads. We can refer to figure 9a. The armor used is specified in the figure 9b. The non-elastic threads are for example in cotton. These threads have no elastic property. Through therefore, in order to be able to achieve expansiveness, in the weft direction in the case where elastic threads are inserted in the weft direction and in the bottom chain direction, when elasticity is sought in the direction bottom chain, it is advisable to provide a tension of the wires non-elastic such that these can "follow" the deformations in extension and in return to initial position (retraction) of elastic threads. Indeed, if the sons not elastics were fully stretched in the unstretched state elastic threads, they would prevent any stretching of the towel. Thus, the possible stroke in elasticity of the bathroom linen item will be set between the rest position of the non-elastic threads in which they are not drawn and which also corresponds to a position non-elastic threads parallel to the elastic threads in which they are substantially relaxed to a position in which the elastic threads are stretched, and this position corresponding to the case where the non-elastic threads parallel to the elastic threads are completely stretched. The elastic threads they could be stretched further but this is not possible because they are then prevented by non-elastic threads fully stretched.

For example, an acceptable stroke for a article of bathroom linen according to the invention corresponds stretching of the product in the sense that it can be stretched between 10 to 70%, preferably between 30 and 60% of its length at rest.
