Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pyrométallurgique et hydrométallurgique de récupération et de recyclage de composés au lithium et au vanadium à partir d'un matériau comprenant des piles au lithium rechargeables, en particulier du type à gel au lithium et électrolyte polymère solide. On fournit une masse de matériau considéré qui subit les opérations suivantes: durcissement par refroidissement à une température inférieure à la température ambiante, comminution de la masse ainsi traitée, digestion avec un acide des cendres de cette masse résultant d'une incinération, ou des sels solidifiés résultant d'une oxydation en bain de sels fondus, ou bien comminution de la masse proprement dite. Le procédé donne une liqueur mère qui permet l'extraction des composés au vanadium, la séparation des métaux lourds et de l'aluminium, et la précipitation de carbonate de lithium à partir de la solution restante.
