Abstract

"INSTALAçãO PARA PRODUçãO DE FERRO FUNDIDO LìQUIDO." Processo de redução de óxidos de ferro e de fusão do ferro, caracterizado pelo fato de ele compreender pelo menos duas etapas consecutivas, ou sejam: uma primeira etapa clássica de redução até um grau de metalização na ordem de 80 a 94%, e preferencialmente de 85 a 90% e um aquecimento numa temperatura superior a 1.000 °C e no máximo até uma temperatura próxima do ponto de fusão; e de uma segunda etapa de alimentação da mistura de ferro metalizado, de ganga, de fundentes e de excessos de carvão num forno de fusão contendo uma fase derretida de ferro fundido, o metal e a escória sendo depois retirados, preferencialmente de maneira contínua, por exemplo por meio de transbordamento.
