  Verfahren zum Zementieren von   Eisen- und Stahl gegenständen mittels   um die Gegenstände herumgeführter Gase. 



   Den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zum Zementieren von Eisen- und Stahlgegenständen, darin bestehend, dass man die   Eisen- und Stahl gegenstände   in Schlacke oder Sand oder in einem anderen indifferenten körnigen Stoff einbettet, vorerst bis zur   Rotglut erhitzt,   dann die zum Zementieren verwendeten Gase durch dieses Material hindurchpresst. 



   Durch die Einbettung der zu zementierenden   Gegenstände   in einem indifferenten, körnigen Stoff wird erreicht, dass man den Zementiervorgang ausser durch Zuführung der

 beeinflussen kann, und zwar bedeutend zuverlässiger als durch die Regelung der Gaszufuhr mittels Hahne, Ventile und dgl. bei den bekannten   Zementierverfahren.   



   Ein weiterer Vorteil des Verfahrens nach der   Ernndung beätnht darin, dass   man die zu härtenden Gegenstände nicht unbedingt in einem gasdicht verschlossenen Raum zu erhitzen braucht, was besonders bei dem Härten kleiner Gegenstände wichtig ist.
