Abstract

A process for producing a virus-inactivated, factor VIII-containing fraction by chromatographic methods in which, starting with cryoprecipitate or blood plasma, possibly followed by a treatment with aluminium hydroxide, at least one separating operation is performed by membrane chromatography after the dissolution of the cryoprecipitate. The fractions are subjected to virus inactivation and preferably an additional pasteurisation step.
