Abstract

Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte for produsering av titaniaslagg fra ilmenitt, der granulær ilmenitt først partielt reduseres med et reduksjonsmiddel i en reduksjonsreaktor, hvoretter det varme materialet med en innløpstemperatur på minst 550?C overføres til en elektrisk ovn og der smeltes i nærvær av et reduksjonsmiddel under dannelse av flytende råjern og titaniaslagg. Reduksjonsreaktoren består av en sirkulerende virvelsjiktreaktor.
