Se mezcla material de desperdicio que contiene metales pesados con incrustacion oleosa de molino o con partículas finas de mineral de fierro reducido y con un material de vehículo en grano que tiene una densidad baja, hasta originar un producto mixto desmenuzado, del cual se puede tamizar una fraccion fina de entre 0 y 6 mm de tamaño de grano para su inyeccion en un horno metalurgico; puede agregarse agua al producto mixto utilizando suspensiones humedas que contienen carbono; pueden agregarse polvos que contienen cal.
