Abstract

Los procesos y sistemas para recuperar metales de un flujo de residuos de baterías de iones de litio incluyen, opcionalmente, llevar a cabo un proceso de lixiviación para formar un flujo de lixiviado, purificar el flujo de lixiviado en un primer reactor para eliminar flúor (F), fosfato (P), y uno o más metales de impureza seleccionados del grupo que consiste en: cobre (Cu), aluminio (Al), hierro (Fe) y titanio (Ti), separando el níquel (Ni), el manganeso (Mn) y cobalto (Co) de la corriente líquida de filtrado purificada haciendo pasar la corriente líquida de filtrado purificada a (i) un reactor para llevar a cabo un proceso de coprecipitación aumentando el pH o (ii) una o más columnas cromatográficas para generar una corriente líquida intermedia que comprende litio (Li) y uno o más productos recuperados que comprenden uno o más de níquel (Ni), manganeso (Mn) y cobalto (Co). La corriente líquida intermedia puede introducirse en un reactor de precipitación de litio para precipitar al menos un compuesto que comprenda litio (Li).
