Abstract
Un método y una línea celular para producir policétidos en levadura. El método aplica, y la línea celular incluye, una célula de levadura transformada con una secuencia de codificación de una policétido sintasa. La policétido sintasa enzima cataliza la síntesis de olivetol o metil-olivetol, y puede incluir Dictyostelium discoideumi policétido sintasa ("DiPKS"). DiPKS puede modificarse para producir olivetol o metil-olivetol. La célula de levadura puede modificarse para incluir una fosfopantetienil transferasa para la actividad aumentada de DiPKS.
