Abstract

La presente invención está relacionada a un microorganismo recombinante optimizado para la producción de metionina y/o sus derivados, en donde en dicho microorganismo recombinante, la actividad de la metionina sintasa dependiente de cobalamina y el eflujo de metionina son mejorados; la solicitud también está relacionada a un método para optimizar la producción fermentativa de metionina y/o sus derivados, que comprende los pasos de: c. cultivar un microorganismo recombinante en donde en dicho microorganismo, la actividad de la metionina sintasa dependiente de cobalamina y el eflujo de metionina son mejoradas, en un medio de cultivo apropiado que comprende una fuente de carbono fermentable y una fuente de azufre, y d. recuperar la metionina y/o sus derivados del medio de cultivo.
