Abstract

Se describe un portador y un catalizador útiles para la oxidación de etielno a óxido de etileno que utiliza el portador. El portador se compone de un soporte sólido, inerte, refractario tal como alfa alúmina y tiene una superficie que exhibe una pluralidad de salientes a escala nanométrica que se proyectan exteriormente desde la superficie, y tiene una cantidad catalíticamente efectiva de plata en la misma.
