37 day Nightmare
My time with the car; 12 days driving with issues. 9 days spent in with Vertu resulting in a failed fix and presented with further serious engine, suspension & wheel problems. 16 days sitting on my driveway with No courtesy car. 54 emails exchanged. No like-for-like replacement offered. No contact from senior management and a constant feeling I was the problem. After 37 days ownership, the car was eventually returned and refunded. I chose Vertu to avoid this scenario. Purchasing from Vertu has been hugely stressful, frustrating, underwhelming and unprofessional. Questionable safety practices. Quite unbelievable.
Noticed a small issue with a windscreen…
Noticed a small issue with a windscreen panel, which didn't quite fit as it should. Just wanted the service department to have a quick look at it to see how easy it could be fixed only to find that I had to book it in and wait a month for them to do just that. Not looking good Vertu!
Purchased a brand new Renault E-Tech…
Purchased a brand new Renault E-Tech Van (electric) from Vertu Bradford in February 2025 and have experienced nothing but problems with it since purchase. The actual range is c 50% of the claimed range and the van has been returned to them on numerous occasions; once for 3 months. A loan van was promised and never delivered so our business didn't have a vehicle for 3 months. They confirmed the van was being rejected on Renault and that turned out to be false. 17 months on we have 25 faults with it ranging from a red brake warning, electric window won't close, alarm sounding constantly, HV charging errors, display panel faults, noisy fans etc etc.
NFU insurance have confirmed they will not cover any loss of belongings nor will they cover theft of the van as it is insecure
Recovered to Vertu by RAC & was promised a loan van We are now nearly 2 weeks on and being told they cannot supply a loan vehicle. RAC will provide one only if Vertu authorise but according to the RAC they haven't received authorisation. Renault customer services involved and now advised the van requires parts from Renault which are on back order with no ETA. Meanwhile we are paying for a new van that once again we don't have use of and Veru make promises they cannot uphold
They charge exorbitant fees…
I took my 2010 Peugeot 308 1.6L into Vertu Oxford branch because error message said Risk Of Particle Filter blocking. They said that I need a new Particle Filter costing £2600. But one delivered to my door costs £240.19 including VAT and delivery charges. That is gross overcharging and profiteering.
Poor Service Start To Finish
We bought a Nissan Ariya from this dealership around a year ago through the Motability Scheme, and from start to finish the experience has been extremely disappointing.
The sales process was chaotic. The specification of the car kept changing, the availability kept changing, and the salesperson never seemed to have a clear understanding of what was happening. It got to the point where we almost cancelled the order. Looking back, I wish we had.
When we went to collect the car, we were suddenly told there were additional costs that had never been properly explained. After believing everything had already been paid, we ended up having to find almost another £1,000 before we could take the car home.
After collection, we were repeatedly contacted and pressured to leave a five-star review. It became so persistent that we eventually blocked the number rather than leave a review.
Unfortunately, the car itself has also been a disappointment. The battery range falls well short of what was advertised, and over the last month the airbag and sensor warning lights have appeared intermittently. The faults were considered serious enough that Motability arranged a hire car because ours was deemed unsafe to drive.
After keeping our car for two weeks, the dealership told us they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Then, when my wife collected it today, they had left it with just 1% battery charge. They effectively handed a disabled customer an electric car that was almost flat, expecting her to make the journey from Chesterfield back to Sheffield. That is completely unacceptable and shows a complete lack of care or consideration.
The customer service from this dealership has been consistently poor from the day we ordered the car to today. When our Motability agreement allows us to change vehicles, we will be returning to Hyundai without hesitation.
If you're considering buying or leasing a car from this dealership, especially through the Motability Scheme, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Our experience has been one of poor communication, unexpected costs, and customer service that has repeatedly let us down.
I had a very disappoinMisleading VERTU England Order Experience and Delayed Refundting experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with VERTU regarding Order #3788.
The brand itself was presented as **VERTU England**, and the order was placed in GBP for UK delivery. The phone I originally ordered was the MetaVertu Curve White Python Skin. After the order was placed, I was informed that the white python version was out of stock. I was then offered an alternative colour, and VERTU confirmed a free storage upgrade as compensation.
The real issue started after shipment. UPS contacted us regarding customs clearance and import-related charges. Before payment and shipment, it was not clearly disclosed that the phone would be shipped internationally from Hong Kong or that the buyer would have to separately handle UK customs/import VAT.
For a customer ordering from a brand presented as VERTU England, paying in GBP, and arranging UK delivery, this lack of clear disclosure was extremely misleading. VERTU later confirmed in WhatsApp that the device was shipped from Hong Kong because the model was only available there. This should have been made clear before shipment.
The UPS paperwork also showed a different sender name, which made the whole process even more concerning.
Because of the unclear customs/import disclosure and undisclosed Hong Kong shipment, I refused the delivery and requested the package to be returned. VERTU confirmed that their logistics team had submitted a recall/return request. The parcel was returned to their side around 15 June.
Since then, the refund process has been extremely frustrating. Despite repeated follow-ups, I kept receiving vague replies such as “still processing,” “finance department is handling it,” and “we will update you.” No confirmed refund date, no refund reference, and no written proof of refund were provided even after more than two weeks from the return.
For a luxury brand, this level of transparency, communication, and refund handling is unacceptable. A customer should not have to chase repeatedly for a refund after a returned, undelivered item.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise future buyers to be very careful before ordering. Get written confirmation of where the item will ship from, whether customs/import VAT is included, and exactly how refunds are handled before paying.
Just bought a car from the Birmingham…
Just bought a car from the Birmingham branch worst experience ever in three days had 11 phone calls 4 texts and 11 emails and as it was a cash sale lots of irrelevant questions like am l going to use it as a taxi will I have comprehensive insurance they also refused to deliver it if I didn't join in a video call in the end told them delivery it or refund the money
Great lesson in how NOT to sell cars
Honestly - you walk into a car showroom, prepared to spend £25,000, with quite a number of sales people sitting at desks or standing talking to each other, and no-one is interested in talking to you. after 10 minutes to hovering round a new car, getting inside it, opening the bonnet etc. we had to ask for help
Item i ordered arrived from Shenzhen

My review refers to Vertu Seat McMullen…Disgraceful
My review refers to Vertu Seat McMullen Rd. Darlington.Car booked in for MOT and service 22/01 /26.MOT fail rear tyre ,accepted.second fail needs new rear brake discs and pads at a cost in excess of £300not accepted. Pointed out that this same garage had completed this job less than 2 years previous and car had covered under 8000 miles since By a shear stroke of magic brakes now only need cleaning at a saving of £200,I doubt that they even needed this.I indicated to service personnel that I wii never use this company again and would strongly recommend others to shear clear of what I can only describe as a disgraceful attempt to con clients into paying for work which is not required

I purchased 2 rings
I purchased 2 rings. I received them but non of them worked. Then I returned them with courier by my account because VERTU didn’t accept to pay the courier return. Now they received them and after more than one month they do not refund my money back and each time they say something.

Looks like my previous review of vertu car sales Derby has been ignored by the company, they said they would investigate my complaint, still waiting for the response.
100% a scam, don't buy...
Phones are overpriced ZTE made Android phones, the smart watch is most likely just a reskinned Huawei watch, the website is AI generated slop, and the former CEO had arrest warrants for him that were issued by Turkish officials. The website has competitors' devices that don't even exist (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Ultra, they've now deleted the page with the fake devices due to obvious reasons). The speakers are worse than an iPhone 17 Pro Max even though they claim the phone is better overall on their social media channels. Not to even mention the giant bezels. They also falsely demonstrated the Agent Q's zoom by using a photo taken with a Canon EOS R6 that can be found on multiple sites such as Unsplash.
100% a scam.
During a test drive
During a test drive, we broke down. Back at the showroom I was reassured the car would be fixed and I would be updated regularly. Taylor Duggan and the manager both stated I have first refusal if I want to test drive the car once repaired, to which I agreed I would.
Taylor contacted me twice in the week by email with updates. I organised a loan and providing the test drive went well I planned to buy. Driving to the garage to test drive I rang but no one was free to answer my call.
At the garage Taylor informed me the car had been sold!! No conversation no messages and sold. I had driven 40 mins! Both Taylor and manager looked me in the face and lied stating that they phoned me. I spoke to nobody, there were no voice messages, text or emails.
They are untrustworthy, unreliable and their customer care I can safely say is very poor. If this is how they treat a customer pre sale, good luck if you buy and have problems. You’ve been warned! ( nurse and mum of 3)
Excellent Customer Service
Never bought a Hyundai car before and called in the Newcastle Silverlink garage off spec. We were greeted by Paul the Sales Manager or General Manager we suspect and he handed us over to a young Salesman Will.
We told Paul and Will will what we were looking for spec wise and we were directed to a Kona Ultimate ex demonstrator. Will showed us everything this car had to offer and it was exactly what we wanted in a car apart from the colour. Will was absolutely excellent and answered all our questions and was not overly pushy and listened to us all the way. Will even managed to get the price to our budget and gave us all the time in the world to contemplate during and after our test drive. Will was very reassuring to us of there after service and in fact the branch had just won a global award for customer service. The colour was the only thing holding us back and unfortunately it was something Will could not resolve for us but we believe if he could of he would of. We informed Will we would have to go home and think about it as parting with thousands of pounds is not something we would do on a whim. Will informed us he would call us on Monday as they were closed on Sundays which he did but we unfortunately missed the call. Unfortunately we bought the car from another garage due to the colour of the interior leather and we feel so guilty as Will really deserved the sale. What Will did was convince us to become a Hyundai customer and we look forward to getting our car and I hope Hyundai recognise what a brilliant member they have in there than in Will.
