I have had my sim for a month and already I see that this service is worst than any third world country. This is a waste of money. don't buy it.
Outrageous harassment at the doorstep, 2 visits in one day! More then 10 in total
I am absolutely stunned by the aggressive sales methods of Telekom (or Ranger Marketing). Today, sales crews stood at my doorstep twice in a single day to aggressively push a fiber-optic connection onto me.
They lie, create pressure, and completely ignore a simple "No, I'm not interested."
This constant harassment inside my own four walls is an absolute outrage and borders on coercion. If this does not stop immediately, I will take legal action for trespassing and file a complaint with the Federal Network Agency and the Consumer Advice Center.

Terrible experience and deceptive…
Terrible experience and deceptive contract traps. Avoid Telekom at all costs.
A Telekom employee convinced me to switch to fiber optic, placing me on a "transitional" internet plan until the connection was completed. Ultimately, Telekom was completely unable to install the fiber optic line.
When I asked them to cancel the transitional plan because it was significantly more expensive, they ignored my request. Instead, they increased my price and locked me into a 2-year contract that I never agreed to. They are charging me far more than my original plan. To make matters worse, they still have not provided me with a copy of the contract they claim I signed.
This company lacks basic accountability and customer care. I will never, under any circumstances, use any service from Telekom again. Save yourself the stress and avoid them entirely.
In Greece they are a total disaster…
In Greece they are a total disaster after taking over the service here. Just as bad as in Germany seemingly.
Germans should be ashamed.......
Avoid at all cost
Avoid at all cost, worst company ever, they used to be good, in term of customer service, but for the recent year they changed, customer service are there to make fun of you, waste your time waiting for them, not solve the issue and close the chat. If you want to do anything with them, you would have to go in person and wait huge line no matter if you in big city or small and it’s not guaranteed that they would solve the issue, last time I went there, they couldn’t help me, I’m not using this SIM card ever again!
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. In Germany no provider takes seriously its job but with Telekom went to another level. They send workers door to door in order to make new contracts so I switched to their company. Telekom's worker promised high end internet which is required for my daily job. Initially I contracted Telekom's highest speed; 250mbs (which is a joke if you compare it to almost any European country) but after only 1-2 months they have to downgrade my contract since Telekom did not have the capacity to provide it. So I downgrade it to 100mbs. Nevertheless, after some months, Telekom is unable to provide more than 20-40mbps which is a shame. From initial promised 250mbps to 20mbps, so I am not able to work.
Telekom obstructs the withdrawal process it tells customers to use
I purchased a €25 Premium Full Flight voucher for Lufthansa FlyNet. Telekom’s instructions say to activate it through an “Access Code” option on the onboard portal. That option was not available, so the voucher could not be used.
The more disturbing part came when I tried to withdraw from the purchase.
Telekom’s own written withdrawal instructions explicitly state that withdrawal can be submitted by email and provide an address for exactly that purpose.
I followed those instructions. Telekom then replied that my request could **only** be processed through a separate online contact form.
This is not merely poor customer service. §355 BGB provides that withdrawal is exercised by an unequivocal declaration to the trader; timely dispatch is sufficient. Telekom cannot reasonably give consumers an email address for exercising that statutory right and then refuse to process a withdrawal sent to it. German law also now requires an easily accessible electronic withdrawal function for qualifying online contracts under §356a BGB.
I eventually submitted the same withdrawal again through Telekom’s demanded form.
So the experience was: sell me a voucher I cannot activate, provide written instructions for how to withdraw, refuse to process the withdrawal when I follow those exact instructions, and force me through another procedure.
For €25, this should have been a trivial matter. Instead, Telekom turned it into a consumer-rights issue.
I though it was a serious company
I though it was a serious and prestigious company and decided to give it a try and signup for a prepaid mobile plan.
Everything was bad since the begining:
1. They failed to send me the simcard, so I lost access to my phone number for 3 days, after I complained.
2. I could not use the website to complain because they never sent me the Kundennummer.
3. After complaining I finally received the simcard, but they activated my account days before I received it, and started counting the time.
4. Their app is terrible, you're blind about what is included in your plan and how is your usage.
5. This is my first month, since the 28th there's an outage around Lichtenberg neighborhood. It has been 3 days with no internet at all in the area. The support says they cannot tell when it will be back to normal.
I'm moving away from this company right now and becoming and advocate against it.
Catastrophic experience all around
Tried to get a prepaid card, they sent me a non functioning card. Noone would help.
Cancelled that contract.
Gave them another chance and they sent me a card that initially worked. Soon after they deactivated my new card, instead of the old one.
Cancelled that contract again.
Today I got a letter in the mail, demanding payment and repromanding me for my card that they deactivated.
This organisiation is in pure disarray and the workers there are absolutely godawful. Never again Telekom!
Five years always bad internet
I am a customer for now five years and I had not one round of online gaming with good internet, 1GB stands in our contract and we get 570 MB/s at most connected directly to the main router, me I live to rooms next to it have a router to strengthen the internet and I am connected with a LAN cable, have most of the time 40-60 MB/s but when I start playing I have 1.2 MB/s down to 40KB/s and it always seems to be bad.
So in conclusion it is NOT a good Internet provider!

I subscribed to MagentaTV for the remaining FIFA World Cup 2026 matches and canceled the subscription immediately afterwards. However, a few days ago I unexpectedly received another invoice.
I tried to contact customer support, but the chatbot was not helpful and disconnected the conversation after some time. There does not seem to be an email address or web form available, leaving only the callback option, which I will try next.
Overall, this has been a disappointing experience. A simple cancellation and billing clarification should not be this difficult for customers.
Genuinely astonishingly awful
This company is genuinely astonishingly awful. It exploits its customers, its technology is outdated, its cloud platform is overpriced and inflexible, it fails to deliver the performance it promises to partners, and its recruiting process is complete chaos.
Departments don't even know who they're looking for or who they're interviewing. The company truly fails across the board while continuing to receive endless government subsidies. In my experience, it is one of those German companies that exploits its own country for its own benefit. And yes, I have genuinely had first-hand experience with this company in every one of these areas.

Telekom Terror
I cancelled my landline after receiving an unwanted call from a telemarketer saying that I had to upgrade in order to keep the service. I received notification that it would be cancelled till the end of April, so far so good. Not so! I received May, June & July invoices & despite numerous calls to the hotline who each time assured me it would be taken care of I have now received a final warning having blocked their attempts to debit my account. If you try and contact them by email you are steered down avenues of contact formulas that lead nowhere, so you are forced to call the hotline. This used to be a good company, but those days are long gone.

The promised interim solution turned into an expensive contract at the regular price.
I ordered a Telekom fibre connection on 20 March 2026. As the fibre connection was not yet available, the order included a temporary internet solution intended to cover the waiting period.
For several weeks, I received no installation appointment and almost no useful information. Telekom sent me a router, but the temporary connection was not properly activated until I repeatedly contacted customer service.
Eventually, a MagentaZuhause XL Flex connection was activated on 1 June. However, instead of being provided under the conditions of the temporary bridge solution associated with my fibre order, it was billed as a separate full-price contract.
I was charged €16.18 in April, €7.95 in May, €56.85 in June and €70.89 in July, although the service I received was not what I understood had been agreed when placing the fibre order. The actual DSL performance was also poor: a speed test on 26 June showed approximately 21 Mbps download on an XL tariff.
Trying to obtain a clear written explanation was unnecessarily difficult. Telekom repeatedly directed me towards calls and chats, while I wanted a written record of what had been ordered, activated and charged. The information provided at different stages was inconsistent, and resolving a straightforward contractual and billing issue required far too much effort.
I have now arranged to move to another provider and requested cancellation of the still-open fibre order.
My main criticism is not simply the delay. It is the lack of transparency between the original order, the promised temporary solution, the contract eventually activated and the amounts subsequently charged. Customers should be able to understand exactly what they are agreeing to and why they are being billed.
