If I could I would give this NEGATIVE stars. Reading Plus is a Bug Filled heckscape. They say it's primary goal is to "increase your reading speed" when in reality it's "decrease your reading speed".... See more

Save your money, save yourself from torture, save your last brain cell and DO NOT download this app
At first, when we were introduced to this app in year 3, I actually kinda liked it! I used to battle all my friends to get the top spot, and I would read like 5 books a day. But, after my recent experiences with this app, I don't think I can step on this platform again. First of all, they never update the books on here, like books kids nowadays like, including: dairie of a wimpy kid, tom gates, stuff like that. Second of all, the teachers in our school used tho make us read for AGES, and by ages I mean like FOREVER and after you read on this website for ages, it gets really, really BORING, it was like torture everyday . God, no wonder this app has like 1 star. 😶
HATE HATE HATE IT
HATE HATE HATE IT! IT’S SOOO BAD! WE HAVE TO DO IT IN SCHOOL AND NO ONE LIKES IT! SO BAD DO NOT TRY IT!
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
STOP THE GUIDED WINDOW
The guiding window is absoblutely diabolical, when you mess up too much it makes you talk to your teacher before you read again, im a 5th grade student and I'm one of the only people who can read fluently because I switched from a paper and pencil private school 2 yrs ago, the same thing with its sister, dreambox math... do I even have to describe it?
Terrible. I loathe every day I’m forced to use this app anytime during school.
Terrible.
As a student, I can assure you that this app is awful.
Because not only are the stories 6th grade level writing, but you can’t even read normally!
There’s this “guide line” that makes it so you’re FORCED to follow a small window. Oh? You wanna double check that word? Too damn bad! You can’t! In fact, after using this app, I’ve noticed that my reading became SLOWER and my writing became WORSE. I had people read something I wrote before and after using reading plus, and they almost ALWAYS said the before was the better one.
So unless if you want kids to have their eyes in a little window prison whilst reading a 10-15 page story on a middle schooler writing level about how fireworks came to be; then DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS HELLISH APP!
⭐ 1.1/5 funny hahahah lol funny lol lololololol
⭐ 1.1/5 — Reading Plus is not just a reading programme; it is a weekly student endurance test disguised as literacy. In theory, it improves speed, vocabulary and comprehension. In reality, it feels like a digital escape room where you log in, wait for the page to load, and fight a final boss of four answers that all mean nearly the same thing. The idea is fine: students should read more and learn useful words. Reading Plus turns reading from something interesting into online admin with a progress bar.
A normal session begins with the login page, which feels like a locked door in a horror film. You type your password. Incorrect. You type it again, but slower, as if that is a plan. Incorrect. You check your planner, notes and soul. Eventually you get in, only to be greeted by a loading wheel considering its life choices. By the time the homepage appears, half your motivation has left the building. Then Reading Plus says you still have five tasks due, as if this is a fun surprise and not a small personal crisis.
Some articles are actually decent, but unfortunately they are trapped inside Reading Plus. A story about a mountain rescue or brave inventor should be exciting, but the site makes it feel like a tax form about perseverance. Nobody in a Reading Plus article has a normal day. If someone sees a bird, it becomes a lesson about conservation. If someone fixes a fence, it becomes a message about resilience. If someone drops a sandwich, the main idea is probably teamwork, courage and never giving up. Meanwhile, I am there at 9:12 PM wondering whether my brain will log out before the website does.
The SeeReader is meant to improve fluency, but feels like the text is running away from you. You blink once and the character has crossed a desert and discovered renewable energy. It is reading on a treadmill. Then come the questions. Reading Plus will ask, “Why did Marcus hesitate?” and give answers like: A) he was unsure, B) he felt uncertain, C) he was worried, D) he had doubts. That is not comprehension; that is guessing which synonym the website prefers. When you get it wrong, it acts like the correct answer was obvious and you have personally disappointed paragraph four.
Vocabulary can be useful, to be fair. Words like “reluctant,” “tedious,” “bewildered,” “determined” and “consequence” are helpful, because they describe Reading Plus perfectly. Reluctant is how I feel opening it. Tedious is how it feels after the third task. Bewildered is how I feel reading the answer choices. Determined is what I become when the site crashes. Consequence is what happens when I remember the deadline at 8:47 PM on Thursday.
If Reading Plus had a movie trailer, it would say: “In a world where students thought reading was peaceful, one website changed everything. Prepare to log in. Prepare to refresh. Prepare to choose between four suspiciously similar answers. Reading Plus: The Deadline Awakens.” If it was a theme park, the rides would include The Login Labyrinth, The SeeReader Sprint, The Main Idea Maze, Vocabulary Volcano and The Loading Wheel Ferris Wheel, which just goes round and round forever while students slowly lose hope.
To be fair, Reading Plus is not useless. It can build stamina, practise comprehension and teach vocabulary. Some students probably benefit from it. But the execution is clunky, repetitive and stressful. Schools may see data, dashboards and progress charts. Students see another login, another deadline, another frozen screen and another question about the emotional significance of a lighthouse. Reading should make people curious, not make them feel like they are being chased through a paragraph by a timer.
Final verdict: useful idea, painful execution, questionable vibes. Reading Plus has taught me literacy, patience, password recovery and how to stare at a loading screen with educational intent. Overall rating: 1.1/5. The 0.1 star is for the rare magical moment when it works first time. Rare miracles deserve praise...
My Computer burned cause of it
aculy orfall i read really good.
achully orfall, i read really good i have read the howll of the hary poter book serys in a munth but still i am forst to read the F tear books at 300 words pear minit it gust dosnot let you read fasst enuph
Please read this and follow through with my advice.
Honestly the book choices aren't even fun. My school decided to introduce this website at the beginning of year nine and it was like a stab to the back. Please just delete the website, there are no good reviews and students can learn more from reading a real book. I was able to read Harry Potter by the time I was 5 and now I struggle to stay focused on a book. If you don't delete the websites at least put some good books that people will enjoy. Search up the most popular books for children and put them there. If you put the throne of glass series there, maybe 1 chapter at a time, I will delete this review but until then this will stay here forever.

I was reading about a pogo stick and a it said how to use it so I bought one did egsacly what I was told but now I’m in hospital writing this review whith a broken ankle
this programme is just sad
genuinely the worst programme I have ever used. i have to use it as part of my English homework, but I really don’t think that it’s helping me. firstly, the book selection is questionable at best- i always pick the books relating to earth and animals, but I would say books of that focus are a minority- most of the books focus on history, which I’m not interested in and I’m sure many other people aren’t either. secondly, there are tests called ‘benchmark assessments’, they are tests which you do three times per year. one of the segments on said test is reading, of course, but for this: you don’t get to choose the book, which is understandable for a test, but it seems to expect people to read so slowly that if I try to move onto the next page when I’ve finished reading (at my normal pace) the programme puts me ‘on hold’ and I have to ask my teacher to take me off of the hold. in addition, something that I have noticed: for context, at the end of an extract you answer some questions about the extract- each question has only one answer, unless it’s specified otherwise. i have noticed that sometimes, on a question which asks for specifically only one answer, there are two answers which are logical. also, somebody else has mentioned this I believe, but the website is written in American English, and only in American English. i know some people who struggle with this, as there is no way to change it to standard english. thanks for reading this longer-than-i-expected review, and I seriously hope at least some of these issues are fixed within the next eighty years, although that seems unlikely.
Bro what is this?!
Learning from this thing is basically mission impossible. Whoever made this needs to go to the mental hospital to sort their brain out. I don't know why people rate this 5 stars but they need serious help. At school. I pretend to be on reading plus, but instead I go on Scratch because of how bad it is!!!
reading plus... more like... uhhh idk im not funny enough for this joke gng
reading plus munched up my grandma mate
humans are typically made up of 50%-70% water, my grandma is made of 50% water
now reading plus is make up of 100%-100% ai data centre
so, reading plus absolutely gobbled that mf up like she wa nuffin
it also gave me mental issues when i was first started using it.... so uhh ye not very good
I DON’T WANNA READ!
I DON’T WANNA READ!! Usually I don’t mind reading but the extracts on reading plus are just so boring. I actually can’t understand what’s going on half the time when I’m reading and it expects me to read like some superhuman.
DISCUSTING
terrible, absolutely terrible the books are ai generated and boring, do not put your children on this app
14yo with SEN needs
14yo with SEN needs, absolutely hate it. It's like shaming me for reading, I was in P5-P6 and now I don't even like reading. It says I read too fast when it is actually my reading speed, I don't need shit to improve son😭 I don't need to improve, when I get a question wrong I get "partical credit" like what the actual hell. This is literally like Sparx Reading. It's slowly killing me for reading.
Also yes I am British and live in England.
IsraelGPT generate me a soulless site that us idf soldiers will love and adore
Very buggy needs fixing
I have to use heck of a website i mean first of all it’s very hackable and buggy heres the bad thing sometimes if you get one question wrong poof remember reread ! Eventhough there was no Reread so overall i wouldn’t recommend it
Worse than can be described…
It is terrible becuase the stories are boring. I always get put on support mode. Please do not buy this app I am warning you PLEASE!!!! It’s worse than can be described, that’s how bad it is.
Horrendous.
This site is honestly really stupid. The clunky interface and horrible choice of colors disgusts me. And also its so stupid like the stories got progressively more boring each time i levelled up. i dont see any person who would like this. Like if i accidentally click the space bar too early it says "OOOH YUR GOING 2 FAAAST" like shut up. it was an accident, a mistake and guess what? This site punishes you for mistakes its like "UH OH! YOU GOT 79%" like the whole point of learning is you LEARN from mistakes, not PUNISH them. Most of you guys out there are so lucky you dont have to do this. Teachers, students, do not visit this site
this thing is THASH
it gives me a thing that says hold on speak with your teacher I got GOOD scors then it give me "you have being reading and answering poorly" I HAVEE NOT if I could I would give this a NEGITIVE rating like -99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
