Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 500 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many frustrated buyers frequently complain about deeply unhelpful customer service representatives who provide poor assistance, ignore formal complaints, and completely fail to honor warranty agreements. Consumers also experience widespread product failures, including malfunctioning home appliances, broken internal components, and severely damaged deliveries arriving shortly after the initial purchase date. However, some customers also noted that certain electronic devices actually work quite well and feature genuinely impressive picture quality. A small group of reviewers even experienced surprisingly helpful support teams and ultimately received completely satisfying resolutions for their faulty household items.

LG Mini Splits are the drizzling shits

LG Mini Splits are the drizzling shits! There are 2 where I work and they constantly cause problems and throw codes. Nothing but frustration when the techs come out and work on them as well. If you want to buy one of these, be ready to get your pocketbook out and just sit on top of your unit so the techs can just grab a handful of cash 2 or 3 times per year! I'm glad I changed my mind about personally buying one to install!

Won’t buy LG again

The technician was great. He seems out refrigerator unrepairable after we waited nearly a month for a compressor that didn’t fix the issue as LG said it needed. The technician wrote in the order that it wasn’t repairable but LG still says the paperwork is written wrong. They won’t call or email the technician what they need to make it correct. I’ve talked on the phone with reps who say they see the note but it’s apparently in the wrong place and won’t replace the fridge. This back cam forth has gone on over two weeks. We are now a month and a half out with no refrigerator. My daughter is chronically ill and has medications that have to be refrigerated. In addition to the food, we lost $28,000 of medication for her. I can’t get the next dose because I have nowhere to store them. They’re aware of this and still aren’t refunding/replacing it as per warranty.

Purchased an LG TV with voice control

Purchased an LG TV with voice control. I expected that equipment to be fully operational. After all it wasn't cheap, around a $1000. After some time of trying the voice feature and failing, it turns out I have a standard remote control ( that apparently has been discontinued from what I have read) that doesn't support the voice feature, and from customer service, that the remote I need is sold separately. They won't send me one as this is their policy.
Yet another corporate company that wants to squeeze the consumer for everything it can get.
The European Union put consumer rules in place for this exact reason. The product you buy should be fully functional straight out of the box.
Obviously this doesn't apply to the rest of the world so corporate knows it can get away with nickel and diming.
If you purchase a Google Streamer, it comes complete with a remote that works with voice control and batteries. It may seem trivial to some, but I've had enough.

LG Electronics Gurgaon

Reached out to LG Gurgaon for a washing machine repair, was told by the engineer, Sandeep Kumar to pay the amount and would have that fixed in 2-3 days. I keep calling but am pushed the following day every time I call. Shivani Soni who’s manages these folks tells different story. What is happening with LG? And then we wonder why Samsung has taken over majority of the market share. Absolutely pathetic dealing with LG Electronics.

"Incredible customer service and a fantastic resolution from LG!

I recently experienced an issue with a slightly out-of-warranty LG OLED TV. Dealing with appliance faults is always stressful, but LG’s customer service team handled my case flawlessly.

Not only was their communication swift and professional, but they also went above and beyond by offering me a brand-new, upgraded model as a replacement.

It is rare to see a company stand by their products and treat their customers this well. A special thank you to Amy and the specialist team for turning a frustrating situation into an amazing experience. Highly recommended!"

Worst appliance service experience with customer service

Worst appliance service experience with LG Pakistan.
Washing machine picked up for repair on Wed, 29th July from my home. Today is 7th August — 7 working days, zero updates from LG.
Technician Izhar was the only helpful person — professional and the sole source of any status update, though the issue ("kit issue") still isn't resolved.
LG Pakistan complaint center: called 3 days straight, agent Rida kept repeating "complaint kar di hai" with no actual information.
LG Lahore support: agent Safia promised a callback — the callback came from technician Izhar, not management. Next day Safia said the manager (Amaan) was on a prayer break and would call/text — never happened. I called and texted Amaan directly — no response. Safia has since read my messages but stopped responding entirely.

Shockingly Poor Refund Process – Still No Resolution After Weeks

I am extremely disappointed with LG’s Online Shop and the way my refund has been handled. I returned my TV on 25 July, and despite having clear confirmation from the courier, LG continues to tell me the same scripted line: “We have not received the unit yet.” It is now weeks later, and I am still being told to “wait” with no meaningful update or accountability.

The level of inconsistency is unbelievable. One team says the item was returned, another says they “expect to receive it next week,” even though the return happened long ago. It feels like nobody is actually checking anything, and the customer is left stuck in a loop of repeated, unhelpful responses. I have spent hours on the phone, including a long call today where I made it clear I would not end the call until a real resolution was reached. Yet all I received was the same vague information with no action. The lack of transparency, the slow internal processes, and the refusal to escalate the issue properly have caused unnecessary stress and frustration.

LG’s refund process has been slow, unclear, and extremely disappointing. Customers deserve better communication, better coordination between departments, and a refund process that does not drag on for weeks after a confirmed return.I expected far better from a global brand like LG.

Had a LG C5 bought for $3000

I had bought a LG C5 TV bought for $3000. Had for 6 months and panel failed. The LG bought and paid for tech said I did it and the warranty was void. This company is a rip off. The dont make anything to last and the tell you "Lifes Tuff" The customer service is hidious I asked to be transfer to someone so I could complaim about their rudeness. Their answer "Sir you caused this, I will not transfer you" He should be fired. He even stated their was someone I could talk to about him, but still refused. Turned it into the BBB, the attorney general will be next. Do NOT buy anything LG ever they read from a script a will never honor their warranty agreement. 0 stars, run as fast as you can.

Poor Quality and much worse service

My old refrigerator finally died after 40+ years of good service. I have other LG appliances which work great so I was hoping for a similar experience with an LG refrigerator that received good reviews on Home Depot. I chose this model because they bragged about how quiet the compressor is. My old old frig's compressor was making louder rattling sounds toward the end so a quiet frig was appealing.

After I got it, I noticed the compressor was indeed quiet. However the refrigerator itself was anything but. First I noticed the compressors cooling fan which had a cheap plastic fan blade was not balanced very well and made a rattling sound, much louder than the compressor. There are apparently vents inside which help direct where the cooling goes. The servo motors make loud whirring sounds as they adjust the venting. This is followed but a humming sound. I think this might be some sort of heating coil probably used to prevent ice buildup. It runs for 7-10 seconds. This happens like every hour. When the heat coil activates in addition to the humming sound sometimes it is accompanied by a loud rattling - like the heat shield of something is lose and the vibrations from the heating element are rattling it.

I contacted LG service to inquire about these things and try to gage how serious it might be. I was still within my return window. The service representative had zero knowledge so I asked about getting someone out to look it over and fix the fan and tighten down whatever is rattling. He asked with the refrigerator was cooling. Other than all the sounds it was making it seemed to be worked. The service guy explained that he could send someone but there would be a charge because if the unit is working there won't b anything to fix. Basically he insisted that LG considered the things I was concerned about normal and not cover by their warrantee. So a service visit and potential repairs would all need to be paid by me.

I finally decided to buy the extended warrantee from Home Depot (I usually never by extended warrantees) just in case the issues are more serious. I close the bedroom door now so the refrigerator does not wake me up at night.

It's been a few months now and the refrigerator is working albeit not so quietly. I was hoping for 15-20 years of service but now I think 10 years is perhaps the most I can expect.

It is so sad that some greedy exec is willing destroy the brand's name and reputation just to make a quick buck today. I used to love Sony until they went stupid. Now it seems to be LG's turn. Needless to say I will probably never by any of their products again.

I am very disappointed with my…

I am very disappointed with my experience with LG Canada.

I purchased a TV directly from LG Canada. The original TV arrived damaged, and after reporting the issue, LG sent a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement TV also arrived damaged.

After numerous phone calls over several months, LG finally confirmed that my refund had been approved and even provided me with a refund reference number. However, several weeks have passed since that confirmation, and I still have not received my refund.

Throughout this process, I have spent countless hours contacting customer service, repeating my case to different representatives, and waiting for updates that never seem to result in a resolution.

I am simply asking LG to honor the refund they have already approved. Based on my experience, the after-sales service and refund process have been extremely frustrating and much slower than I expected.

I hope LG Canada resolves this matter promptly so I can update this review with a positive outcome.

LG Range, Arrived Damaged, Horrible Customer Service

I purchased this range through LG Canada's website on June 2 2026 wanting to switch from a gas range to induction. It arrived late on June 22 2026, the delivery company was in a rush (called at the end of my delivery window saying they'd be half an hour late, after waiting for the duration of their 3-hour window) and removed the box/packaging on the sidewalk outside of my property and outside of my view so I couldn't see it, and then left the appliance near the front entry without giving me a chance to properly inspect it, the whole process was less than 5 minutes. After they left, I noticed that the back part of the range was pushed out and there was a dent near the power supply, so I was not comfortable installing it as it is a possible fire hazard and the location is right above my gas line. I sent an e-mail to LG that evening, and contacted LG Canada via phone as soon as I could the next morning to notify them, as per their policies.

Even though the Return Request Approval/authorization was issued on June 23 2026, it took multiple phone calls before LG Canada's customer service would schedule a pickup for the range. They also refused to issue an exchange/replacement which is what I had requested, and only approved a full refund. The range was finally picked up multiple weeks later on July 8, 2026. It is now 4 weeks after the range was picked up, and I have not received a refund. I had to call again on July 23 2026 after not hearing anything back or receiving any refund, and was promised when I called on July 23 2026 that I would be hearing back the same week. To date, I have not received any communication from LG Canada at all. There has been no progress on my return and I have not received my refund even though the appliance was removed by your company on July 8 2026. Per LG's return policies available online, "The refund will be issued using the same payment method You used during the purchase process. It may take up to 2 weeks from the time we receive your returned Product to inspect it and process the refund". It has now been 4 weeks. I have phone calls where LG's Canada's representative confirmed multiple times that I will be receiving a full refund to my original method of payment, as the item arrived damaged and I had contacted them within 24 hours of delivery so I am eligible for a full refund per LG Canada's return policy. I was promised last week that I would be hearing back within the week and to date have still not been contacted, and have not received my refund. The return has still not been processed on their website despite the return request being approved the day after I received the item (June 23 2026) and the appliance being picked up 4 weeks ago (July 8 2026); it is now August, and the return status has not changed from "processing" on my orders on the website, and they still have not issued the refund to my credit card and it is accumulating interest. I do not recommend ordering anything from LG Canada; if you have any issues, you will have the worst time trying to get a refund even if they agreed upon the refund and it is covered under their own return policies. It's quite disappointing as I currently own several of LG's appliances and TVs, but now I will never buy another LG product again. I am now just hoping I will receive my refund and just want my money back, but am not hopeful and will be contacting my credit card company to try to get a chargeback at the end of the week. What a waste of time, I could not recommend that anyone buy any LG appliance unless this is what they want to put up with if they have any issues at all, even if the issues are covered by LG's own return policy and their customer service representatives verify that it is. I decided to go with a more reputable brand, and will never buy anything from LG ever again.

The customer is horrible

Should be ZERO stars. The customer is horrible. Feels offshored to the Philippines.

I called this morning and spent almost an hour on the phone to schedule a warranty repair.

Firstly, all your agents spoke too quickly and with very strong accents…making them difficult for me to understand. I had to ask them to repeat themselves many times. Frustrating for them and for me.

After having me do a quick diagnostic of my refrigerator, the first agent transferred me to James. Rather than help me with the warranty repair, James started to sell me an extended warranty. I didn’t ask for one and that was not the purpose of my call. He also said my warranty had expired. Your site showed incorrect purchase information. I asked for a supervisor. He transferred me to Iverson.

Iverson also said that my warranty had expired…a full six months before I bought the refrigerator. Iverson requested that I provide a copy of the sales receipt and model/serial number sticker. I appeared to be having connectivity issues which seemed to frustrate Iverson. After multiple attempts through text and email from both my phone and my wife’s, we provided the proof of purchase date. Making no attempt to hide his frustration at having to spend time on the phone with us and not selling an extended warranty, Iverson transferred me to Sandy (warranty department).

At this point, I’d been on the phone for over 45 minutes. Sandy confirmed the warranty was current and scheduled a repair call. Both my wife and I again had difficulty understanding her when she told me the name of the technician.

Nationally aside, your agents should be native English speakers and should speak slowly and clearly enough for customers to understand them…especially when the customer states difficulty understanding their speech.

I request that all four of these agents, including the supervisor, receive additional training. LG should also consider onshoring customer service.

Based on this call, I have low confidence that the warranty repair call will go smoothly and the refrigerator repaired with one visit.

I then followed up with this complaint directly with LG via chat…name of chatting agent never provided. They responded with: "I'm sorry about what happen earlier.” And with: “ what I will do here is to documents what happen and what you encounter earlier so that it will not happen again.” Not the best response a customer could receive. Rates low on my list of response. HT also said I would be a survey to provide more feedback.

My 65-inch television just broke down

My 65-inch television just broke down, one month after the two-year warranty expired...

The screen shuts off after 10 minutes of use, and even then, it has to cool down unplugged for at least two hours to reproduce this performance. A basic failure that every manufacturer should avoid in an electronic device, potentially one that was already present I bought the device. Except that this is a luxury model TV costing €1,000, the LG 65QNED87, a bulky appliance that's difficult to take to a repair shop.

In any case, LG tells me I'm just unlucky because it happened right after the warranty expired. No compassion, no consideration for the situation, from this company that just announced it has just broken its sales and profit records again this quarter on the Seoul Stock Exchange!

And yet, in 2008, I bought an LG television that also stopped working in its third year, as if by chance. After 16 years of mistrust, I ventured to buy another LG appliance, and I was sorely mistaken.

Under these circumstances, I can't see myself paying hundreds of euros to repair one component of the device, knowing that another one will almost certainly break down.

And believe me, I won't live long enough to buy another LG appliance.

Update: One week after, LGE wrote me to say they will fund the parts but only in the case I would pay their own technical station for the labor cost of the repair.

Three weeks after, I am still unable to reach out to their technical station, despite endless time on their hotline waiting for someone to pick up the phone.

I have cancelled a repair opportunity from a third-party I had found myself that would have repaired my TV within two days, in order to prioritize resolving with LG Europe. I even still do not know how much the repair with LG Europe will cost me.

One week ago I wrote to LG Europe to let them know I am unable to reach out to their technical station and LGE asked me to be patient. I am very patient and still waiting.

Now I start having concerns that this offer may be a way for LG to show consideration on the front side, while their real objective could be to complicate even more the situation to discourage future claims in similar situations.

Beware of the blue enamel interior on…

Beware of the blue enamel interior on this LG double oven. Because appliances no longer come with printed manuals, I didn't know how sensitive this coating was. I do not trust self-clean cycles to work well, so I used Easy-Off as I have on every oven I've ever owned. After sitting for just 30 minutes, the cleaner stripped the blue finish entirely, leaving my brand-new June 2023 oven covered in dull white streaks. The interior is completely ruined. A premium appliance should be durable enough to withstand standard oven cleaners, or at the very least, come with a physical warning.

Terrible customer service for repairs

My washing machine started making a loud banging noise when spinning with a load. The repair man came and told me it was because uneven load and and showed me it spinning quietly but it was empty! I thought it was fixed, he asked me to leave a review and I did willingly as I thought it was fixed. I put a load of washing in and it was still making same loud noise. They refuse to come out and repair despite being just a couple years old and has 10 year warranty. I tried to make a formal complaint and the advisor cut me off. Terrible repair and customer service

Purchased a stainless steel dishwasher and after three months, the bottom right side of the door started coming off. I inquired about a simple replacement and was told that wasn't possible - That it was a cosmetic issue and a tech would contact within five to seven days. This is unacceptable. Too much money was paid on this. I truly regret patronizing LG. I also purchased a fridge and range. I truly hope these don't go haywire as well.

I was assigned someone to manage my complaint, but I’ve reached out to them 3 times and got no reply. Avoid LG at all costs.
