Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 179 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Consumers expressed deep frustration regarding terrible customer service, extended shipping delays, and receiving incomplete product sets without proper resolution. Buyers struggled constantly to get meaningful responses from support representatives, while numerous packages arrived extremely late, damaged, or entirely missing. Many individuals felt that prices were far too high considering the poor quality of some components and frequent missing pieces. Some reviewers were happy with the fast delivery and genuinely helpful customer service they experienced when resolving issues. Other people also noted that certain orders arrived promptly without any complications, and they found specific online sections well organized.

Bad moderation

They say that the username bored is inappropriate and they change my name into something that's way too embarrassing and stupid.

Packing quality has slipped, and fixing it costs more than it should

I buy my son around a dozen LEGO sets a year, and over the last year the packing quality has noticeably deteriorated. Almost half of the sets we’ve bought have been missing pieces, usually just one or two, but enough to stop a build and upset our nine year old.

A recent example: we bought the Star Wars #75451 Hutt Palace Sentry Droid Showdown from the LEGO Store at Luton Airport, at just under £50. One piece was missing. The piece itself costs £0.08, but getting it sent to us comes to nearly £10:
ANGULAR PLATE 1.5 BOT. 1X2 1/2
Order value (1) items £0.08
Delivery cost £3.95
Service fee £5.50
Order Total £9.53

Paying over 100 times the value of a part to replace something that should have been in the box in the first place is hard to justify, especially for a loyal customer spending this much a year. I’d like to see LEGO tighten its quality checks, and make it simpler and cheaper to put right when a brand-new set arrives incomplete.

Pre-ordered the Wallace and Gromit set…

Pre-ordered the Wallace and Gromit set in September with a dispatch date of early October, and decided to pick up a Halloween set as well. Come October, others were receiving their sets and I'd heard nothing so logged into my account to discover my preorder was back-ordered to November, and the Halloween set was being held to dispatch it all together. In fairness they did cancel the order immediately when I requested it but it was very frustrating that an updated dispatch date was never sent to me and I had to investigate myself.

Terrible delivery timeframes

I placed an order of an in stock item on the 1st of the month with a delivery timeframe of 2 - 4 working days. It didn't arrive within that time and, when I chased it up with customer services, I found it hadn't even been dispatched until the 5th where it then sat awaiting customs clearance for another couple of days. I did eventually receive my order but the delivery time was pathetic. Come on Lego, be honest with your customers. We pay a LOT for your products, the least you can do is sort out your delivery issues and get them sent out/delivered on time or, if you can't do that, then be honest on your website and instead of saying 2-4 business days, let your customers know that once you have the customers money, you're actually not that fast at sending out their orders!

Went onto the Lego website and logged in as I wanted to order bricks to extend my X files set with the gift with purchase. Ordered 290 pieces. For some reason EU bricks & Pieces orders all go through Poland so these took 9 working days to arrive ( almost 2 weeks from order date). Opened them today to build, whilst building found at least 10 pieces missing. To be honest I could not be bothered to go through the whole list to complain to lego I wanted to build. Order cost €55 and I used €22 of points. Terrible for 1st ever order and to be honest I would probably order off brickowl etc in the future.

To be honest would give 0 if I could

To be honest would give 0 if I could. £800 order delivered damaged due to no internal packing in the box. Returned damaged items, replacements also received damaged. I was told some damage in transportation is to be expected, and now having sent back the damaged items for a second time, they have cancelled the replacement order, without any discussion, as they can't guarantee I will get the goods in a decent condition! All they can do is refund so I can buy i in store (which is a 2 hour round trip)...shocking experience with the customer services online.

Pre ordered not delivered, autistic son distraught and customer service do not care

Pre ordered a set for my autistic son.
DPD claimed they couldn't deliver, even though they have my what3words on their app. I had it redirected to a pickup point as they are incompetent.
The pickup point at post office said they never dropped it off. Upon looking at the tracking it was going back to Lego.
I contacted Lego customer service who could not have been less helpful. The advisor did not listen to my concerns and the upset this has caused to someone unable to comprehend what's happening, and literally left the live chat with it still not resolved. Disgusting.

Unrealistic Assurance

Lego is the most profitable toy company in the world. The extreme reduction of PRINTS and re-use of current colours and moulds gives them unrealistic assurance and this might just be the downfall as seen early 2000’s LEGO.

I ordered the Pokémon smart play

I ordered the Pokémon smart play, training house with Pikachu and Mewto Lab Break for my Grandsons birthday which is today. He wants to fight one against the other but you can’t. You need a smart brick for both pokemon but only the Pikachu kit has one. Lego do not sell separately so the only way to get one is to spend another £100. I contacted Lego as I am very disappointed as I think the website and the marketing is very misleading and my Grandson is very disappointed and has spoilt his birthday as he was so looking forward to playing with his toys and they do not work as marketed on the website. Lego pointed me to a second hand site where I can buy a smart brick from Poland for £60 but I am worried I am going to get ripped off again. Very disappointing. Won’t buy any more Lego after this.

Finally….My Issue is Sorted

This is a follow up to a review I wrote a few days ago. I was having problems with customer service over an issue. At the time it was not resolved.
Well, now it is. Finally tonight, my daughter has received the e-gift card I ordered for her👍👍👍
It’s only taken them ten days to do it🙄🙄🙄, which seems to be a lot less time than a lot of customers have experienced, and at least she has received it, and I haven’t lost the money I paid out.
To be honest I don’t think they would have bothered about it if I hadn’t kept sending emails inquiring what the heck was going on…….emails which were never answered.
I did get an email from customer service yesterday (21st) to say the issue was resolved and that they had sent my daughter her e-gift card, but no apology for not answering my emails or keeping me informed of any progress.
I shan’t be buying from Lego again though, that’s for sure!

Not as bad as the reviews claim

I've had good luck with the Lego website. I get what I order and it comes relatively fast. The only issue I have had has been in buying individual pieces. The Pick a Brick section is well organized and it's easy to find what I need, but getting those pieces is something else entirely. I ordered a large assortment of pieces and they never came. It took months and then, with no explanation, my order was refunded. It was nice that I didn't have to fight for a refund, but what I really wanted were the pieces I'd ordered. So, I won't be bothering with that again. But the rest of the site is good. It's easy to navigate the site and the products have always come to me quickly.

PROMOTIONAL OFFERS ARE NOT AT ALL WHAT…

PROMOTIONAL OFFERS ARE NOT AT ALL WHAT THEY ADVERTISE, Bought a Fortnite set for my son primarily for the fortnite redeemable game skins, when I registered it it displayed an already claimed message, it’s been 3 weeks. lego has made me sign up to buy their products on their site and jump through a bunch of hoops, their support is not at all helpful and now i’m giving up trying to fix it, last lego product I will ever buy

I have nothing but praise for the LEGO…

I have nothing but praise for the LEGO Customer Service. I recently placed items in my online basket, and when I returned to pay a free gift had been removed. I complained and a supervisor rang me within 20 minutes to explain that demand had been very high and the item was out of stock. The supervisor listened to me carefully and said she would do what she could to see if there were any cancelled or spare stock. I was astounded to receive the gift within days of my complaint. Brilliant service, and a very happy customer
