Every thing was done very quickly with out any hassle, and all the necessary documents were emailed to me on time, and the price was reasonable.

Very good was £29 less than last year and cheap than other providers and the call centre agent was UK based which was great.

Worst home emergency cover I’ve ever had I phoned for a internal water leak flooding into bedroom and hall in a bungalow Hastings emergency sent a voice mail which said I had to phone first to make a appointment for them to come to my leak it was a drainage company that rang me I had to cancel complained to Hastings who sent me to home emergency second time another voicemail from a heating company who said give us a call for a appointment for tomorrow I thought seeing it was damaging my bedroom and hall way I’d get a plumber quickly I didn’t want a heating engineer I wanted a plumber I phoned Hastings again to complain I wanted a plumber Bearing in mind I’m 81 my wife’s 80 we were struggling to get help I told Hastings to forget about home emergency I’ll get my own plumber which I have done and the fact that I was in telephone queues for over 2.5 hours trying to get help form Hastings home emergency sent so I say to you don’t bother with this insurance company.

I wear hearing aids and sometimes find it difficult to hear the conversation, the person I spoke to was very clear so I could understand every thing.

I am extremely disappointed with Hastings.

When I changed my address the day before my renewal, I was told over the phone that there would be no change in price. Based on that information, I proceeded with the policy.

The price originally provided to me was £727, but Hastings charged me around £865. When I contacted them, they stated its because I changed my address, even though I was not told this over the phone nor had an email to inform me that the price has changed. Hastings then re reviewed the price and quoted £909!!!!

I decided to cancel the policy and I was charged a cancellation fee despite the policy only having been active for one day and the cancellation having arisen from Hastings providing inaccurate and conflicting information.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
