I accidentally became my own eMile Express delivery driver

I genuinely cannot figure out how this company operates. My package got a “delivery exception.” Did eMile call, text, email, or leave a notice? No. I only knew because I checked the tracking myself. Apparently their first notification method is telepathy. So I contacted their website chat, which appears to be AI, although calling it a “chat” is generous because replies can seemingly take 1–12 business day. If you don't respond quickly enough when it finally answers, the conversation resets and you get to begin your adventure again.
Eventually it told me my package was “at the local warehouse and on the shelf” and offered me two options: redelivery or warehouse pickup.
At this point I had developed trust issues, so pickup sounded fantastic.

Me: Great. I'll pick it up. What's the address?

eMile: Your package is at our
warehouse. You can pick it up!

Me: Yes. Wonderful. WHERE IS THE WAREHOUSE?

eMile: Good news! Your package is at our warehouse and you can pick it up!

Me: THE LOCATION. I REQUIRE THE LOCATION.

eMile: Have you considered ... warehouse pickup?

It was like trying to obtain a side quest from an NPC whose dialogue tree only has one option. When that failed, I asked for a phone number so I could experience the luxury of speaking to an actual human. No phone number. Instead, I was informed that a mysterious “team specialist” would eventually join the chat. So, since eMile would not tell me where the eMile warehouse was so I could use the eMile warehouse pickup that eMile had repeatedly offered me, I did what any reasonable customer of a professional courier company would do: I found their warehouse address on.... Reddit... Reddit officially provided better customer service than my courier. I drove there and discovered an unmarked warehouse with absolutely no eMile signage whatsoever. I wasn't in the mood to leave my children motherless, so I went to the neighbouring business and asked if they knew anything about them. Their response was essentially:
“Yeah… good luck getting ahold of them. They might be here around 2.”
Clearly this wasnt the first time they have been approached. Amazingly, the business next door had just provided the most accurate eMile tracking update I'd received so far. So I waited. Around 2, two remarkably unbothered people finally appeared and confirmed that yes, this was actually the place. FINALLY. I had found eMile Express. I wish I could say that was the end of the adventure. Then I went inside. Calling it “disorganized” feels generous. Packages appeared to be scattered everywhere, piled on the floor, chairs, and throughout the little office off to the side. There was no obvious sorting system I could make sense of. Honestly, it looked less like a functioning courier depot and more like someone had moved into a warehouse full of packages and just started living around them. My immediate thought was: How in the actual f$%k does anyone know where anyone's package is?
And suddenly I remembered the chatbot confidently assuring me mine was “on the shelf.” WHAT SHELF, ERICA?!
I told one of the employees about my ordeal with their AI chat. His response? “Huh. I didn't even know we had an AI chat on there.”
Sir. Neither did the AI.
Finally, I asked why my package hadn't been delivered in the first place. He immediately showed me a photo and said construction was blocking the road. There was no construction preventing access to my house, and there are multiple ways into my neighbourhood. When I pointed that out, the explanation changed to: “Well, sometimes the address is wrong.” Spoiler: the address was correct. So, to summarize: eMile failed to deliver my package, never contacted me, left me to discover the problem myself, made me battle their chatbot, repeatedly offered warehouse pickup while refusing to tell me where the warehouse was, forced me to find their unmarked warehouse through Reddit, and ultimately required me to retrieve the package myself.
Delivery driver: Me
Customer service: Mostly me
Package investigator: Me
Warehouse locator: Reddit
eMile Express: - 1000
Myself. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If your tracking suddenly says “eMile Express,” congratulations on your new part-time job in logistics.

Would give no stars if i could. Company held my package in a warehouse for 3 weeks and delayed delivery twice, made no attempt to deliver it. Customer service was non existent other than the chatbot which does nothing. I did not personally choose to use them and if given the choice i never would. They are a terrible company. Tracking is borderline dishonest. Terrible company and terrible people.

E mile express driver has left packages on the floor next to the dropbox. We have had two package thefts over the last year due to delivery not put into drop box. Customer support have been notified in the past about this. They were unresponsive.

This cannot seriously be a "delivery"…

This cannot seriously be a "delivery" company as they do not deliver...
Item was personalised and shipped from China to Canada in 5 days, out for delivery the next and currently about 2 weeks later the parcel is in the ether. Apparently a road was closed which prevented deliver on the first day and that's the end of the story. No attempt to redeliver, I've had to chase, also was lied to in the process.

I will review this if I'm compensated in full as the date this was required has long passed and the kids are very disappointed to not have had their key birthday item.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...based on my experience

Two Questionable “Delivery Attempts”

Two Questionable “Delivery Attempts” — Followed by Customer Service Simply Ignoring Me

My experience with eMile Express has been one of the worst courier experiences I have ever had.

The tracking for my shipment shows two separate “DELIVERY EXCEPTION” events.

The first occurred on August 6.

The second occurred on August 7 at 2:32 PM.

After the first failed delivery, I contacted eMile on the morning of August 7 and was specifically told that another delivery attempt would be made that day.

So I stayed home.

All day.

I remained close to my apartment buzzer and kept my cell phone with me because I did not want to miss the driver.

Then, at approximately 2:32 PM, eMile once again recorded a “DELIVERY EXCEPTION.”

When I contacted customer service, I was told the driver could not get into the building.

That explanation makes absolutely no sense to me.

I was home.

Nobody buzzed my apartment.

Nobody called my phone.

Nobody contacted me in any way.

My buzzer number had been provided.

My telephone number had been provided.

In fact, before the package even shipped, the sender specifically contacted me to reconfirm my telephone number because the courier required it.

So eMile had my correct address, apartment information, buzzer number and telephone number — and I was physically home waiting for them.

Yet somehow the driver supposedly arrived, could not enter the building, and left without using either of the two obvious ways to contact me.

That is bad enough.

What happened afterward is what I find even more unacceptable.

I went to eMile’s own customer-service chat specifically trying to RESOLVE the problem.

I was not contacting them simply to complain.

I wanted to know where my package was, how I could receive it, whether another delivery could be arranged, or whether I could simply go somewhere and pick it up myself.

I provided my address again.

I provided my buzzer information again.

I even provided an alternate delivery address for the following day.

I repeatedly tried to engage with their customer-service representative in an effort to find a practical solution.

And then they simply stopped responding.

Nothing.

No explanation.

No apology accompanied by an actual solution.

No answer to my questions.

No confirmation of another delivery.

No pickup address.

No escalation.

No indication that anyone was even attempting to help.

Just silence.

That, to me, is completely unacceptable customer service.

Mistakes happen. Drivers miss deliveries. Addresses can be confusing. Systems fail.

What separates a decent company from a terrible one is what happens AFTER something goes wrong.

A responsible courier should engage with the customer, explain what happened, provide options and work toward a resolution.

Instead, after I spent an entire day at home waiting for a delivery that eMile had specifically told me was coming, I was told the driver “couldn’t get into the building,” despite receiving no buzz or phone call.

Then, when I challenged that explanation and asked for help resolving the situation, customer service effectively walked away from the conversation.

That is the part I find most disturbing.

You cannot repeatedly record unsuccessful delivery events, fail to use the contact information you specifically required from the recipient, and then simply stop communicating when the customer asks what is going on.

I am now documenting the complete timeline, tracking records and customer-service conversations. I have also requested information regarding the time and location associated with the claimed delivery attempts, including any available GPS or scan data.

I am also reviewing formal complaint options through Consumer Protection BC and other appropriate consumer-protection channels.

I would much rather have spent this time simply receiving my package.

Instead, I have had to spend hours chasing a courier company for basic information about a shipment that was supposed to be delivered to my home.

At this point, my concern is no longer simply that my package has not arrived.

My concern is the apparent lack of accountability and the refusal to meaningfully engage with a customer when something goes wrong.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend eMile Express.

If you are a retailer considering using this company for last-mile delivery, I would strongly suggest paying close attention to how customer problems are handled after a delivery fails — because that is when you discover what kind of courier company you are actually dealing with.

If there was minus 10

If there was minus 10, that what I would give.
My package was delivered but it was ripped on one side side and one item was missing. reported online (only option) and they kept arguing that it was intact. Meanwhile they only provided a photo of one side of the package. They kept on insisting that the package was intact but failed to provide proof (all side of the package). This is a scummy operation. I reached out to the seller, asking them to stop using this service!!!

Absolute Dogshit of a courier service

If I could give this company zero stars, I would.

My package was marked "Out for Delivery" at 1:30 p.m. Today it's now 9:10 p.m., and it still hasn't arrived.

I contacted their so-called customer support, only to be told that the driver has up to 72 hours to deliver a package after it's marked out for delivery. That's one of the most ridiculous responses I've ever heard.

What's the point of providing real-time tracking and "Out for Delivery" updates if they don't actually mean anything? In all my years of ordering online, I've never had a package marked out for delivery that wasn't delivered the same day. I've also never heard of a courier giving itself a 72-hour window after a package leaves a sorting facility that's only 20 minutes away.

The tracking updates are misleading, the customer service is useless, and the entire experience has been incredibly frustrating.

Based on the level of service, I'm going to take a wild guess that this operation is being run out of Brampton.

HORRIBLE DELIVERY - No care

HORRIBLE DELIVERY! I have video of the driver throwing my package from his inside car on to my driveway. Since when is this acceptable? The package was clearly marked with a "fragile, handle with care' sticker, and the driver did not care at all. And to top off his lack of care, the proof of delivery photo he uploaded, was my package he threw it in the middle of my driveway.

I had an awful experience with Emile Express. They lost my package, which contained items worth over $500, and completely refuse to take any responsibility for it.

When I reached out to inform them that the package was missing, they simply denied it and refused to offer any help or issue a claim receipt. Their customer service is non-existent, and they do not care at all about lost shipments or helping customers resolve issues.

Save yourself the frustration and money—avoid using this service at all costs!

I gave one star only because there are…

I gave one star only because there are no lower options. These guys admitted that their driver made a mistake and lost my package. I spent over an hour on the phone, TWICE, waiting for some customer service, but nothing. I sent numerous emails trying to get an answer but only got an automatic reply. They are useless and the Better Business Bureau should look into these incompetents. My recommendation STAY AWAY from these guys.
