Interesting, fun, and with a sense of humor. I like the online TLSAE course because the GUI is very smooth and intuitive. The graphics are also clean and crispy. The videos are professional. There ar... See more

Awesome curso
Simple review
The different sections are easy to understand and straightforward, there also are videos in case things get confusing. I think it's a good way to start learning about driving and all the things that come with it.

The $39 Price Comes With Strings Attached
I signed my daughter up for DriversEd.com because it came highly recommended, but my experience has been disappointing.
The advertised $39 price is tied to enrollment in a "free" roadside assistance trial that automatically renews for $5/month unless you cancel. While that's disclosed, what wasn't obvious was how difficult it would be to actually cancel.
The roadside assistance cannot be canceled from the parent account—it has to be done through the student's account. After logging into the student account, we discovered the roadside membership was still "processing," so there wasn't even a membership ID available to cancel the trial. In other words, we wanted to opt out immediately, but the system wouldn't let us.
That combination of requiring enrollment in an auto-renewing subscription, limiting cancellation to a different account, and then preventing immediate cancellation because the membership isn't fully set up feels like an unnecessary obstacle. It left me feeling like I had signed up for something I didn't want and couldn't promptly cancel.
The driver's education course itself may be perfectly fine, but the enrollment and subscription experience left a very poor first impression. I would much rather pay a few dollars more for a course that doesn't bundle an auto-renewing subscription with this kind of cancellation process.
I hope DriversEd.com either makes the roadside assistance truly optional at checkout or allows customers to cancel it immediately from either the parent or student account.

straight crooks!!
straight crooks!!! it is impossible to cancel subscription from their app. too many companies, this one included, are perpetually charging customers banking on the customers and inability to write daily emails to get these mfers to cancel their subscription. i am mad as hell and i ain’t going to take it anymore!!!!

good
Cheap and easy to understand. However, the format that lessons are presented on are unbearably boring and you can't retake quizzes in order to study for the test. At the end of the day, it is affordable and gets the job done.

Fairly Good Course
The overall course is great. It can be finished fairly quickly, it is easy to understand, and it provides videos to help the learner. However, it is a very text heavy course so it does get boring and less engaging over time.

DO NOT USE
Horrible. Kept saying that I'd hit the state 4 hour limit before I had even hit it, yet while at the same time the progress bar at the side would only show that I'd done only like 3 or 4% of the 24 hours needed, which is about 45 minutes. So basically I would do 2.5 hours, get kicked out for somehow doing 4 hours at the same time, yet only gain less than a hour's worth of progress, all at the same time.
Furthermore, there was once time where I did a lesson that was worth 1 hour and 4 minutes. I finished it, yet it only gave me 1% progress of the 24 hours, which is around 14.4 minutes.
This has caused me to be able to get my driver's license about 2-3 months later since the people who give out drivers lessons have a full schedule for the next several months.

The annoying $5.00 payments
The $5.00 payments were annoying and hard to cancel and were hindering to a teenager paying for my own drivers ed. However the drivers ed was decent.

If the videos were more animated it…
If the videos were more animated it would help. It also uses my name way too many times, so it would be nice to have an option where their name can or cannot be used. Some of the ways it teaches or gives an example are weird, like the distracted driving lesson.

Very great experience
Great and easy to understand chapters, some levels are kind of long but each lesson is easy to understand and gives valuable information. The mini games is a very good addition to the lessons and it kept me going.
