Account is locked and I can’t get in touch with anyone. I need my email to be updated on my account but the help desk is non existent.
Update: I have emailed them twice and submitted a form. Still no one has responded. Not sure how this company has any customers. AVOID

I'm surprised the reviews are so bad
I'm surprised the reviews are so bad. So far, my experience is great, though if that changes I'll update. I do not sell gc's on here, I only purchase and I purchase small amounts (under $200 at a time). Each card I have purchased has worked fine. They have not asked me to upload my i.d. or locked my account (so far). so as of now, I'm very happy. You can save a lot of money buying giftcards for things you would purchase for yourself anyway (like streaming subscriptions, various restaurants, department stores, etc).

Scam - Will take your money and leave
I just tried to order a giftcard for ebay and they locked my account shortly after sending payment and giving me the redemption code. It is my first purchase and they want me to upload my id and verify my idenity. I don't feel comfortable at all and it is my first purchase.
Scam
Edit: May 2nd, They reactivated my account, I tried to login, and then it said 'logged out successfully'. I then tried to login again and proceeded to see that my account wasn't 'really' reactivated even though my email said otherwise. And the next day, it said it was deactivated again. They ask for all your personal information before getting a basic giftcard. I can't buy anything (not even $5 card) without submitting my id or true identity. I understand it is essential to prevent fraud, but that should be for major purchases that are $100+ and repeated purchases. I, however, was sent by a referral and wanted to try it out and it is preposterous to want to see my id for a basic giftcard order ($5-20)
I do not trust sending money, because it will be on hold for 3-5 business days, and just because they tell you that it is resolved/reactivated on email or that they want to get it resolved on trust pilot, doesn't mean they won't turn around and deactivate your account again...right after saying it was activated and resolved.
If i were a customer, I would look elsewhere and/or not give more than $5-20 dollars , because it can be held/refunded back

Terrible company
Terrible company! I bought over $2500 worth of gift cards with them for hotels.com, uber, TJ maxx. They all worked well. Out of the blue yesterday they locked my account requesting to upload my ID. I did that and my account is still locked. Their chat is a fake bot that does not do anything. Their customer support is non-existent. STAY AWAY.
This is how they treat their customers.
A new company will take them over soon.

Do NOT sell with them!
I have used GCX aka "Raise" since 2018 and had no issues until now. I listed a $25 gift card on March 28th and it takes days for it to be "live". Okay, that's fine. But when it sold on March 30th, it said funds would be available April 1st. Cool, two days to wait I guess. Nope! April 1st, 2025 they implemented a new selling tier which means unless you sell $20,000 A QUARTER(!) you have to wait 14 days after the sale for the funds to be available for payout. So, promptly my funds were not available until days later to "request" payout which I waited patiently to request then April 15th. Today is the 17th and while it originally states 2-5 business days for PayPal under "withdrawal history" it says April 27th for expected payout! This is for $17 guys, it's not an obsene or suspicious amount of money. You really want your average seller to wait ONE MONTH for $17? Go elsewhere.

Lying about being out of service agreement
Ordered a gift card in January and had issues, they responded and resolved it right away. Ordered again on Saturday had issues and have had no help. They replied that I’m out of my service agreement, but how I just ordered a few days ago. I think they are assuming it’s the old order from January even though they can see that the order number and gift card numbers are different. Also the number is completely invalid it’s not like it’s been used, it can’t be used at all. If it’s not resolved by 3.28.25 I’ll have to file a chargeback with my bank and post negative reviews on all social media about their lying about the SLA to get out of refunding me.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!
I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!
DO NOT DO IT IF YOU DON’T WANT TO LOSE MONEY!
Wow, I didn’t know it was more people having the same issue than me. This company is totally a SCAM, and if I were you, I would avoid them at all costs.
They keep your money, sell invalid gift cards, and provide zero support. Instead of taking responsibility, they tell you to go to a store to resolve the issue — even after you explain that the store can’t help because the cards were purchased through a third party. In the end, they do nothing to fix the situation and still block your account.
Here’s my story: I purchased $2,000 in Walmart gift cards from this TRASH company, only to find out they had technical issues and couldn’t be used. I contacted Walmart multiple times, and they clearly stated that only the company I bought the cards from (GCX) could resolve the issue. I even provided GCX with proof of my conversation with Walmart, reference number, a writing confirmation yet they refused to help.
Following their instructions, I paid someone to visit a Walmart store to get a transaction history, as I am living in Japan, and — surprise — the store confirmed once again that they couldn’t assist because the purchase wasn’t made directly with them.
Despite all my efforts, GCX still blocked my account unfairly. I’ve opened multiple cases — 428809, 417112, 417115, 417116, 417117, and 418491 — and this is only the first ones! I have contacted them more than 15 times, and they still refuse to help.
I’ve been a loyal customer, and this is how they treat people. I’ll keep pushing until they fix this, but I highly recommend staying away from this company if you don’t want to risk losing your money like I did. I’m glad my bank got me cover.
Worst company ever!!!!!!
Worked once, now I'm out $189 and waiting...
I was recently introduced to this site by a good friend, who has had success and is happy with the cards she purchased. My first purchase of a Home Depot card went well, so I felt more confident in the next purchase: a $200 amazon card. I immediately went to apply the card to my Amazon account, and got the message that the code wasn't valid. I immediately reported the issue and have heard nothing back after four days. I tried another route to get support and got a very cryptic email back. Meanwhile, I've been charged the $185 for the $200 card. I feel I will be forced to contest the charge via my credit card company if I don't hear back in the next day.
The 90 day money back guarantee doesn't see to be worth much if you don't hear back from customer support.

I've sold several gift cards on the GCX…
I've sold several gift cards on the GCX website and have had no issues yet. It does seem to take a bit longer to get your payout, I'm actually still waiting on one but other then that so far it's much better then some of the other sites, where they just drain the funds from your gift card and have no real customer service. I lost a 100 bucks last month trying to different site and wish I would have just stuck with GCX.

Worked fine!
Worked great. Was definitely scared with peoples comments on here and on Reddit though. I just watched card prices over a couple days and felt like a few sellers were around for a while that it was probably ok. Redeemed without issue.

Damn
Damn, really sad. Here to save people some reading and sear hing. Gcx used to be raise. When it was raise apparently it worked great but since it's become GCX it's hard to find any positive reviews anywhere. Seems almost every card they sell is a 0 balance or gets drained right after selling and their customer support does not help or takes weeks to resolve issue. I was going to buy 1500 in southwest giftcards, but after reading all the reviews on here, bbb, and Google play I can't bring myself to take the risk. Sad they can't get their shit together.

This company is a scam. Don't bother. Also, they have NO PHONE NUMBER that you can call with questions or concerns. I would strongly suggest you to avoid them.

BEWARE: Make sure your credit card provider has your back
TL;DR -GCX/Raise won’t cancel fraudulent order made with expired credit card info even though the cards are in my account and haven’t been spent.
My account was compromised through my phone and cards were purchased without authorization. Tried to email/chat with support for a few hours and got no reply so I reported the fraud to my credit card provider (Chase) and they cancelled the charge. I got control of my account/phone before the cards could be used or transferred to someone else so they’ve been in my account untouched for 3 months.
Talked in chat to someone at GCX/Raise and was told there wasn’t enough evidence of fraud and I had to pay for the order. Tried to explain someone got my phone and used expired credit card info in my account to make the order and can’t they just cancel the order and take cards back? They say no and now I can’t even delete my account because it’s locked unless I pay for these cards I never bought and are sitting right there in my account. Hard to explain how frustrating and unbelievable stupid this is.

Sold invalid cards
I bought several gift cards with GCX and it worked. But I bought a $50 Buca di Beppo gift card for $40. When I went to Buca, I then realized the gift card has too many numbers and no PIN number. Now GCX does not want to give me a new card when they sold me an invalid one.

I would have rated as 0 star
I would have rated as 0 star. As a 10 year customer, my account was temporarily locked for negative balance due to a sale, but I have never sold anything on GCX. Then my account was deactivated, which cause me not bing able to access any of my cards. Awful, GCX is totally a disaster!

Scammed on a couple of Walmart gift cards worth $200 bought from this company. I've never used them but the cards show zero and partial money.

Can't talk to a person but they fixed the issue
I have this giftcard I tried to access its details and couldn't. I try to logIn and it says there is no account associated to it. I tries their chat box, put the correct number of the order it says its invalid. I have now lost about 15min trying to find an email or a number to call and explain my issue but nothing. How come a company sell millions of dollars in giftcards but won't make itself available to talk to its customers if they need help using them. that's very disappointing! And so far I am $500 short cause my problem was still not solved
Update: they contacted me and restored my account so as I could acess the giftcard details so solved my issue but man, why make me go through the whole pain of trying to find a number or speak with a person and be frustrated at rhe end after not succeeding?
My 2 cents for GCX is: next time you need to cancel an user profile do it so only for new purchases. Do not block their acess to giftcards they already bought. This will for sure save you a lot of new emails in your inbox and dissatisfied customers.
But at the end, they did solve my issue and I am grateful for that.

ID Verification Required to Purchase???
Created my account after hearing about Raise on a podcast. Loaded $250 worth of gift cards in my cart and checked out. Immediately got an email that my order had been cancelled and when I tried to load them again, my account was suspended. To remove the account suspension, I would have to send them pictures of my ID or passport. REALLY??? No thank you. I am not selling anything, you should not need ID verification from me. Was looking forward to using this service...a LOT. But this is just shady.
