As a teacher I am very satisfied by the service offere by superprof

They trick you into automatic payments. I only noticed when a second payment went off of my PayPal. I basically paid €78 for a teacher to tell me they’re not available. Stay away from this app!

I used this website as a teacher for years and I always found a lot of students. Reccomended

This company is a scam. Please find my email sent to them today. Please do not use this company. It could cost you a lot of money.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally notify Superprof of unauthorized recurring charges applied to my payment method and to demand a full refund of €702 (18 monthly charges of €39).

I engaged with your platform on a single occasion to access tutoring services. At no point was I clearly informed, in plain and unambiguous language, that by doing so I was entering into a continuous monthly subscription agreement. The subscription terms were not presented in a transparent manner prior to payment, nor did I provide explicit, informed consent to recurring billing — as is required under consumer protection law, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and applicable regulations governing subscription services.

Despite using your service only once, charges of €39 per month have been deducted from my account for 18 consecutive months, totalling €702. I became aware of this only recently, having never received adequate notice that such charges were ongoing.

I am therefore formally demanding the following:

1. Immediate cancellation of any and all subscriptions associated with my account.
2. A full refund of €702, representing all charges collected without informed consent.
3. Written confirmation of the above within 2 calendar days of the date of this Email/letter.

Should Superprof fail to respond satisfactorily within this timeframe, I will have no alternative but to:

— Initiate a formal chargeback dispute with my bank and card issuer for all unauthorized transactions;
— File a complaint with the relevant consumer protection authority;
— Pursue the matter through small claims court or other legal channels available to me;
— Report the matter to trading standards and consumer watchdog bodies.

I also wish to note that this pattern of billing practice has been widely documented by other consumers and is subject to ongoing scrutiny. I trust Superprof will treat this matter with the seriousness it warrants and resolve it promptly.

Please respond in writing to this email address. I am available to discuss resolution, but I will not accept any outcome short of a full refund.

As a French teacher, I’ve had a very positive experience with Superprof. The platform is easy to use, well organized, and it helped me connect with motivated students interested in learning French. I have been teaching on Superprof for about 14 years and I have seen the platform grow a lot, especially during and after the Covid period. Overall, my experience has been positive: I met many students and had the opportunity to work both online and in person.

The platform is quite easy to use and payments are always punctual, which is very important for teachers working regularly online. Customer support is also reliable and usually helpful when needed.

In my opinion, Superprof could still improve its UI, making the interface more modern and intuitive, while the overall user experience already works quite well. Despite this, I still consider it a good platform for both teachers and students looking for serious and flexible lessons.

I really enjoed the experience overall, but the system to get feedbacks is bugged and i don't manage to get the ambassador level because of this bug.

Superprof is a great website to easily connect teachers and students. It's really specific, so it's easy to find people who are really interested in your lessons. It has nice positioning and visibility on the web, and it offers a big choice of teachers. I saved the link to access it from my phone; I would like to have a real app, so it can be really easy to use when you're not connected from a PC.

The platform is quite nice to use, the user interface is clean and easy to navigate.
As for the lessons, I have only used it as a teacher: although I am not taking much care of my profile, I still get requests of students from time to time and I even had to turn down some of them due to lack of time.
You can create more than one ad in different languages to target specific audiences, but their positioning is a bit hard to change without a pro subscription (which is not too expensive anyone) and you need to complete some challenges to reach the next level. The positioning is mostly based on a recommendation and review system, so the more students you have, the higher you rank. You can set your own price and your conditions about cancellation policy, extra cost if you go to the student's house, and the price of the first session (free or paid).
Students can contact you directly and easily through the internal chat; personal numbers are exchanged later on, ensuring privacy and safety - especially since you might be talking to a minor.

I am an experienced Superprof tutor. Well organized platform and almost all students were serious. I recommend Superprof to students and for anyone who wants to become a tutor.
