The staff are super friendly, the accommodation is close to the uni and calm, and the rooms and kitchen are really nice.

Good facilities and service, nice staff. Had a good time living in The Oaks’s studio.

It was a nice place to stay as a student. Payments were flexible, the staffs were nice and helpful, the accommodation was comfortable. As an international student I did not have to get worried about getting furniture or some essential items because it was all provided. However paying for the washing machine services still doesn’t make sense to me.

If you want to pay a lot of money and be treated like a dog by management, this is the right place for you.

The rooms and kitchens are good, and the staff themselves are wonderful people. However, the way residents are supported through The Oaks’ policies and procedures is awful and makes the whole experience miserable. It often feels as though, despite paying a significant amount of money, you are expected to work around them rather than them working to support you.

So, if you want to move into a property that feels more interested in draining your wallet than providing a pleasant and supportive living environment, then go for it.

My window was out of order for the entire year… then the tv in the cinema room didnt even work. But the staff reception were so lovely and helpful during my stay

When I arrived, they had not cleared out what the previous student had left. Someone was sent to clean up and they were apologetic about it.

Over the summer, while the room was still mine, the cleaners then came and threw away all remaining belongings, so when I came back for my graduation the room was cleaned out. They were apologetic and offered a link to their insurance company, for financial compensation, and fresh bedding.

I had a great experience at Chapel Heights (Durham). The location, the facilities and the general environment were great, but the best part was the excellent staff.

I believe this is an experience just with Frederick house but has repeated over other people from what I've seen and heard. I lived there during my second year of uni and staff was rude towards the students like they don't want to be there. Wasn't a nice atmosphere to live in at all. Had days with no hot water and couldn't shower. I moved out half way through my second tenancy as I become to feel uncomfortable and not welcome to live there I spoke to staff and was greeted with comments about how that's how it is. I would not recommend if living with friends.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The location is incredibly convenient for getting to classes and exploring the area. The room was spacious and well-maintained, and the communal areas are perfect for socializing or getting some quiet study time in.

I had a really good experience living at Student Roost. The staff were always friendly, helpful and approachable throughout my stay. Whenever I needed any help, they were always quick to respond and made things easy to deal with. The accommodation was also comfortable and well managed. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to other students.

It's kind of hard for me to write an honest review about my experience being on the negative side but i do like to see this place doing better for the sake of everyone. The receptionists and team there were very friendly and cooperative, they were clear and helpful whenever needed. Unfortunately, as i was leaving i was charged extra for issues that, to me, felt like it was facilitated due to bad design of the living space. The facilities were minimal, as far as i know there's 1 small common room with a tv, it was less distracting place in a way though so i think it can a bonus for others. I have to switch to a different accommodation after reassessing the options i have for this school year, but i will miss the guys there :) . Nothing but the best wishes.

I had a wonderful experience staying here, and honestly, leaving was not easy. The area is very calm, peaceful, and clean, which made it a perfect place for students. It is also very convenient for students studying at DMU and the University of Leicester, with grocery shops and other essentials nearby.

One of the things I appreciated the most was the service. Whenever I had any issue or needed something, the team was always quick to respond and sort it out without unnecessary delays. Everyone at reception was extremely helpful and approachable, and whenever I called regarding anything, they would make sure it was taken care of.

I would especially like to mention Mr. Lee, and also the student roost manager, who was always very helpful and supportive. I had most of my communication with Lee throughout my stay, and he was always understanding and ready to help whenever needed.

The rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and overall facilities were all well maintained and comfortable. Everything felt organised, clean, and perfect for student living.

I am leaving only because my student life is coming to an end, otherwise I honestly would have loved to stay longer. This place has given me so many good memories, and it truly felt like a home away from home.

I’m very grateful to the entire team for making my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place to students looking for a peaceful, convenient, and well-managed accommodation.

They really helped me a lot from the first day until the day I left the apartment.
The staff are friendly and approachable

The apartments are not well maintained and have not been painted in a long time, giving them a neglected appearance. The heating system does not work properly during the winter, which makes the units uncomfortable and difficult to live in during colder months. Additionally, the building manager has been aggressive and unfriendly in interactions with tenants, making it difficult to communicate about maintenance issues or other concerns. Overall, both the physical condition of the apartments and the management's conduct need significant improvement.

Sheffield 3, they take too much time on scanning parcels delivered to get your QR code. They don’t care if you need it urgent or not. Which I feel it’s bad because once you go to them for it they will tell you to go and come back later which I feel it’s wrong because to walk all the way to reception and be asked to get back just because it hasn’t been scanned is not right while they can just take details and give you your parcel instantly

It was a great year at Hollis Croft!

I am glad I chose this place. It has a great location. The uni and the city centre being equal distance on either direction. Facilities that make life comfortable. And staff who is really attentive and kind.

The accommodation is nice and comfortable, all amenities are met, and the staff is very friendly. It’s just the way they organise things and the sudden need to move to a different accommodation because they had renovation plan in the middle of my active tenancy period was annoying. Slow respond to fix things (sometimes they just even forget if you don’t remind them constantly). Issues with the washing machine is very common (and takes a LONG time to repair). They use a third party repair service that’s why it takes so long. So operation wise can be very slow or not organised (one time i had issue with one of my payment not being recorded in their system even though i’ve paid). Other than that it’s an okay place to live considering it’s next to campus.

The room was really nice and the staff were always helpful! Living at the Towpath was very convenient and the amenities provided made my stay very comfortable. The fact that all bills were included makes our lives very easy as international students!
Only one little issue- i had problems with the mattress which wasn’t really fixed. The mattress was uncomfortable and they didn’t replace it or change it.

It was good experience but they ask to clean room while leaving which was really bad
