Very supportive and encouraging. The ability to track macros instead of just calories is a big improvement.

I have been an active, dedicated Noom subscriber for three years. In that time, I earned well over 800 Noom Coins and successfully lost more than 30 pounds. The core behavioral psychology tools work if you put in time.
However, prospective and current users need to be on high alert regarding Noom’s deceptive billing practices and add-on services.
I recently discovered that Noom had been charging me an extra $92.45 every four months for "coaching" services that I never intentionally requested, wanted, or used. Because my credit card billing statement arrived 20 days after the charge occurred, I contacted customer support immediately upon seeing it to cancel the add-on and request a refund.
Noom flatly refused to issue a credit or refund, hiding behind an arbitrary "14-day cancellation policy." Even after I explained that I was a loyal, multi-year customer who had never used this service, support refused to make the situation right or offer any goodwill accommodation.
The app itself delivered results, but Noom’s back-end business practices prioritize corporate revenue and fine print over long-term customer trust and satisfaction. Monitor your statements closely, as they will not hesitate to keep your money for unrequested services.

Pros: Great product. Great results. Cons: Overwhelming support and options, not required, but appreciated. Marketing quagmire - not necessary. Will utilize in the future, on personal terms not those dictated.

The Noom program is a good resource to use in my weight loss journey. I have been with Noom for a few years and find the food journaling, weight logging, and daily lessons helpful.

The app is so simple to use for tracking meals and exercise, and has key motivational features that keeps me engaged. The cost is nominal given the benefits.

My three-to-four-month experience with Noom has been highly successful, resulting in a 20-pound weight loss. The program's educational framework provided a comprehensive understanding of food groups and significantly improved my dietary habits. Additionally, the consistent accessibility of the dedicated coaches and clinical staff provided an exceptional level of support that was vital to my progress.

I found the Noom program and app to be very helpful and integral to my success meeting my weight loss goal. I can recommend the program if your goal is to drop 10% of your weight and to learn the habits to keep it off.

I’m a new customer to noom. I’ve tried others and not very good results. So far this is working for me . So my rating is based on what i’ve experience so far on my refreshing trip down weight hill.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience with Noom has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to share it.
I spent months earning 85,000 points through Noom's rewards program and redeemed them for a $20 gift card around October 2. Simple enough, right? Apparently not.
I never received the gift card or even a confirmation email. So I contacted customer service. First, I was told to wait 14 business days. Then I was asked for my account information, which I provided. Then they needed more information. I provided that too. I was passed between multiple representatives, told there was a backlog, and repeatedly assured that my case had been escalated, prioritized, and was being investigated.
At one point, a representative even assured me that this was "certainly not a scam" and that my reward would be sent once the verification was complete.
Weeks went by. Nothing.
I eventually contacted the CEO, sent multiple follow-up emails, and still got nowhere. To make matters worse, Noom actually sent me an automated email saying they were closing my support ticket as "solved" because they hadn't heard from me in five days. I was waiting for THEM to get back to ME!
And here's the part that really shocked me.
On November 3, after more than a month and approximately 25 emails, a manager finally responded to say they would NOT honor my reward, citing terms about "suspicious, malicious, exploitative" activity. What?! I earned those points by participating in their program. They provided absolutely no specific explanation of what I supposedly did wrong, and even suggested my account could be terminated.
All of this over a $20 gift card!
At this point, it's not about the money. It's about integrity, accountability, and treating customers fairly. How can a company encourage people to spend months earning rewards, repeatedly promise to resolve the issue, and then refuse to honor the reward without a clear explanation?
I've filed a formal consumer complaint, and once this is finished, I'll be deleting the app.
I'm incredibly disappointed in Noom. I wouldn't recommend participating in their rewards program based on my experience.
On October 3, Noom confirmed my Zepbound refill would process on October 8. It never reached the pharmacy. After I followed up, Noom's care team admitted that a batch of patient prescriptions hadn't been transmitted correctly because of a problem on their end.
By the time the prescription finally went through, so much time had passed that I could no longer safely move up to my next dose. I asked for a prescription at my previous dose instead. Weeks later, I still have no confirmation that it has been sent, and no date for when it will be.
For almost a month, every message from the care coordinators has said some version of "we're actively working on it" and "we'll update you as soon as possible." When I asked for written confirmation, a timeline, or a supervisor, I was told phone calls aren't an option. I called the general support line anyway and was refused a supervisor there too. They opened an escalation five days ago, and I haven't heard anything since.
Noom also wouldn't adjust my subscription renewal, even though their error meant I went a third of the billing cycle without the prescription service I paid for.
People on GLP-1 medications rely on getting refills on time. Missing doses has real consequences, including having to restart titration. If you're considering Noom Med, know that when something goes wrong on their end, you may be stuck in a loop of apologetic chat messages with no way to reach anyone who can fix it.
UPDATE: Noom replied to this review, indicating they had followed up with me to request more information; however, have not received a follow up from Noom.

The instructions are easy. The medication is cost effective for me. Because I only want to lose a few pounds , I have pretty good eating habits already and don’t find the other services very helpful. ( recording meals, doing excercise)

I love NOOM. The NOOM program treats every individual with a weight issue as an individual. NOOM’s program is constantly evolving and keeps current regarding the most updated research and information available as to why people gain weight, can’t lose weight or why food takes center stage in their life. I, personally, thought that my weight loss journey would be a short one when I joined NOOM . I was wrong. My weight loss journey had and continues to have many turns in the road. Weight loss is not one dimensional. It has many facets. NOOM understands this concept. NOOM provides lots of choices. It provides personal support in matching you with a one-on-one coach, a NOOM community filled with different groups of people to talk with and a certified Doctor and Care Coordinators for weight loss medication. This is only a few of the cheerleaders in your court. Next, it offers reasons why it is important to utilize every component part of NOOM’s food/exercise/meditation and mini reading series. Who else but NOOM would offer an “Art Gallery” to peruse? Who else but NOOM would offer tangible rewards such as “Banking Seeds” today see one’s progress as well as win a prize (Amazon or Starbucks). Love all the data and details provided by NOOM and in color, graphs, daily notes as well as step counts and water counts. Food alternatives, exercise alternatives medication and meditation alternatives as well as adjustable weight loss goals. The words “One Size Fits All” program is not, let me repeat, NOT in NOOM’s philosophy or action. There is a difference between NOOM and all other weight loss programs and that is NOOM is a researched based program that works, is fun, and constantly changing! All you need to do is take that first step, be honest and try any and all NOOM offers until you find what works best for you and your lifestyle. Plus enjoy what NOOM has to offer.

The app fosters disordered dietary choices and worsens body image. They promote their body scan as accurate but I doubt it’s accuracy. For example I’ve lost 15 lbs, the reason I give them a three, but the app says this is all muscle loss and that I’m gaining fat. That doesn’t make sense. Now I’m encouraged to start a GLP1 despite being just 10 lbs from my goal. The bot that gives advice is repetitive and generic. In the morning I get advice on decreasing bread and at night I get advice about increasing my calories.

I switched to Noom after a very frustrating experience with Embody. The Noom App has been very helpful in building better habits that will positively impact my general health. The program is set up to help you succeed after you no longer inject the meds.

The app has changed significantly since I first tried it a few years ago. When I signed up for the second time, I realised that the 1:1 coaching had been eradicated which made the cost of the app seem incredibly steep since everything is now run by AI. Also, I don't really get a sense of community chatting with a bot.
Also, features meant to make food logging easy didn't work at all. Simple things like logging an exact amount of water in oz are unavailable. Instead, water has to be logged in 8oz intervals or as "a glass" of water. Furthermore, there is no disability representation or even an acknowledgment of different, healthy, body types within the app or the workouts.
It took me a bit to realise that each user is offered something different, which they tout as a "tailored" plan. Looking into this more, however, reveals that this strategy makes it easier for the company to obscure how they charge for their services.
I could have sworn I cancelled my subscription when I deleted the app months ago. At least, the process made it seem like I had deleted everything. However, I was charged for another 7-months without receiving an email reminder that a bill was coming due. Now, I find out that I can't receive a refund on renewals despite attempting to contact the company as soon as the charge hit my card.
Ultimately, it's not worth the cost and you're likely to be hit with unexpected auto renewals with no recourse for a refund despite how long it's been since you've used the app. Also, good luck getting any response from customer service as I've never been able to get in contact with a human, even when I was a customer.
Update: I have been able to get ahold of a customer service rep who supported me over email. I hope that they consider returning to the use of coaches and coaching groups with more disability representation to make this app better in the future.
