Some of the meals are good, around 4 stars (out of 5). While others are 2 or 3 star. The issues are often the vegetable options accompanying the meat – can be mushy or over-cooked if using their setti... See more

Terrible customer service!
Toughest venison I've ever had and the pulled beef was slimey. So not worth the price.
Cancelled our subscription after the first delivery but they keep trying to send me more and charge me for it! Do yourself a favour and don't give this company your information.

Extremely disappointing experience. I was incorrectly accused of not paying a bill and then received emails and text messages threatening to refer the matter to a collections agency.
After contacting customer service, it turned out the issue was caused by an error on their side.
Mistakes happen, but threatening a customer with debt collection before properly checking the account is completely unacceptable. A simple phone call or some basic investigation could have avoided the whole situation.
This was upsetting, unprofessional and has completely destroyed my confidence in this business. I will not be using their services again.

My first delivery was missing meat for one meal and the recipe card for another. It took 30 minutes to get customer service online and then 15 minutes to resolve (meat can't be replaced, refund only, so much for 5 meals sorted for this week). in addition, the customer service rep disappeared (to do my refund??) for 15 minutes with no explanation for the radio silence.

Great communication and options for meals.

Extremely poor handling of food allergens. Cannot permanently remove individual meals from the random weekly food deliveries. My Food Bag Customer Support said to remove whole areas of foods such as "chicken", or remove the offending meal each and every week.

After not ordering for over a month, I forgot to select my meals this week. Rather than receiving a reminder, My Food Bag simply chose the meals for me and charged my account. The selection included three chicken dishes, one with gnocchi, which we don't eat, and a lamb dish, which we also don't eat.
This means that out of the four meals delivered, only two will be eaten. I now have to buy additional groceries to replace the unsuitable meals, making this an unnecessarily expensive week.
The most frustrating part is that no reminder email was sent before the order was locked in and payment was taken. When I contacted customer service, I was told nothing could be done. As a customer, it's incredibly disappointing to be charged for products that don't suit your household and then be offered no reasonable solution.

Delivery went fine, instructions followed and meals arrived chilled and fresh.
This was a trial to try ready meals to fill a gap when very busy or unwell. Bought 12 for two of us.
Have to say rather disappointed. Meals are quite generous in size but the roast lamb and roast pork meals were fatty and tough. Broccoli is a bad choice, overcooked and soggy, carrots undercooked, hard. Not what we call a traditional roast dinner. Repetitive veges and cheapest options.
Too much messing around tranferring to different plates for heating as we don't like to heat in the trays they come in.
Have cancelled subscription and received an email to confirm cancellation. Will keep a close eye on my credit card to make sure no further orders are charged out as other reviews state cancellation difficulties.
We don't recommend, too costly, veges too repetitive and quality of meat poor.
Too much packaging but we understand it is necessary dealing with a fresh food product.
Took a while to get the procedure of ordering and choosing meals sorted but got there in the end.
PS: Beware if you have a mild pallet for spice... the butter chicken pie is too spicy for our taste. My lips are tingling

Ordered meals for my father who is a pensioner under the guys of a special offer of $50 per week for four meals. Tunes out the way it was communicated was not what I thought we were sorting up for and after a week price went up to the normal $90 for four meals.
These were basic things like lasagne rice risotto a chicken pie and roast lamb. The meals were average. Nothing special nothing any better than the supermarket varieties and they work out at $18 a meal absolutely a rip off especially for a pensioner. Cancelled subscription but still took $90 off my card for the last meals that we don't want because it's not worth the money and it's left the bank account empty. COMPLETE RIP OFF !!!!!!! I saw the roast lamb meal. It just looked like any other little frozen meal. Don't waste your money. The fact that the bank account is empty and the money is needed for more important things is extremely gutting.
EDIT: they did kindly refund me the last payment which was great. I still stand behind that the pricing is too high $18 for a basic meal. New World does basic meals for eight dollars., and to pay $18 per meal plus delivery it's too expensive. Upped from 1 star to three ? If I could put 2.5 I would.

Box delivered to the wrong address,
The delivery driver was telling me to go find it myself as he cant.
No box, no food, was told that I would get a refund. Still no refund.
The driver could contact me to tell me to go find my food box, but couldn't contact me to make sure he delivered to the right address?
Hands down the worst service ever.
Do not recommend this on anyone.

Having a couple of nights where I do not cook, eat takeaways or dine out is proving less of a novelty and more of a pleasure. It also allows my husband to show off his culinary skills (haha)

Great tobbe able to answer the question "what's for dinner?" Without thinking. A good variety of choices, especially as we order the gluten free box. The only downside side is the delivery is on a Saturday & we dont use the food until Tuesday. So keeping veggies fresh is challenging.

I've had my food bag again after 4 year break and the quality is still as great as ever. I travel in a motorhome and the ready meals for one are just perfect for me. I eat well. The best option as I do not like cooking.

Awful quality control—4 complaints in 5 weeks. Unusable and unsafe food.
We are 5 weeks into our My Food Bag journey, and it has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. The recipes themselves sound tasty, but the ingredient quality is shockingly sub-par. Out of the five weeks we've received boxes, we have had to lodge formal complaints for four of them due to food arriving spoiled, damaged, or completely unusable.
We haven't just had a bit of bruised produce—we have received rotting eggs, spinach ruined by wet rot, and chicken that had a terrible smell right out of the pack. Even the meat quality has been poor, with beef mince that was full of silver skin, fat, and gristle. This week was the final straw when our herbs arrived wet and brown, the sprouts were mushy, and the slaw mix literally smelled like rotting cabbage.
Having to supplement a premium meal kit service with emergency trips to the supermarket completely defeats the purpose of paying for a food bag. They are quick to give credits when you complain, but I would much rather just receive fresh, safe, and usable food the first time around. We wanted to love this service, but 4 weeks of failures out of 5 is unacceptable. Avoid.

Terrible. Tried to change my address, five days out from a delivery but was not able to. This meant they still charged me - yet the food got sent to my old address which I don't have access to. When I tried to escalate complaint- they said it wouldn't change the outcome and said I could just leave a review. So disappointing.

The photos of each Ready Made Meals should show what they actually look like inside the tray, not fancy meals on a plate. The majority of the meals taste great; only a few are too salty for my liking. Also, it would be better if they were more consistent in the amount of meat and portion size across all meals. I find some fill me up (e.g, Satay Chicken), but others still leave me hungry (e.g, Creamy Mushroom Chicken). Finally, the delivery person never followed the instructions. Asked to leave the boxes at the front door, but for the last 4 weeks, I found them at the back.

Nowhere near as good as it used to be. Lucky for them it's outrageously convenient for lazy people, like me, who don't want to go shopping. Meals are boring and all taste the same.

Two times received chicken that was very smelly, there reply was that’s normal and leave it for ten minutes and the smell will go away, as I said to them every other chicken supplied to us didn’t have a smell to it , they wouldn’t take responsibility for it so I cancelled my account

I had a prepared meal last night, the beef pie, it was good but my favourite is still the chicken and veg pie.

Misleading with cancellation policy, unhelpful when cancelling and poor with communications.

We signed up to My Food Bag under an advertised Autumn Sale promotion, which showed 50% off the first delivery, followed by 30%, 20%, and 10% off later deliveries.
After signing up, My Food Bag removed the promotion and charged the full standard price of $229.99 instead of the promotional price of $115.00. Their position is that the account was not eligible for the promotion, which may be their view, but our concern is that the order was started at one advertised price and then proceeded at a materially different price.
We raised this with their support team before the box had been supplied and requested either the promotional price be honoured or the delivery be cancelled and refunded. My Food Bag refused both options and relied on their terms and cut-off times.
Very disappointing experience. In my opinion, the pricing and promotion process was not clear enough, and I would be very cautious when signing up under any promotional offer.
